@b00n:
If they can make those amounts of money out of map packs, that time is gone I'm afraid ...

How interesting.

Every time one of the map expansions comes up, everyone skips it. Personally, I'd feel robbed.

I have the map pack, but there are gamers who have this game who don't want the map pack or (as in the case of my brother in cyprus) cannot download the map pack even though they have the points and want the maps.

Treyarch, in their (so little) wisdom. have decided that gamers who don't wish to buy or cannot buy should no longer be able to play this game without getting constantly kicked out of games when one of the new maps is selected on the 360. Now they intend to add another 3 maps to make it even more likely that gamers get kicked from the server.

A case of thank you for your money, pay more to continue playing. It looks like Treyarch are trying to force gamers to buy maps and sod off anyone who isn't willing or able to buy.

A decent coded game to start with would have helped, but this game online is the buggiest game ever, Treyarch must have hired amatuer programmers just out of BASIC school at £10 per 100

Looking forward to Modern warfare 2 from a decent company. Infinity Ward really need to get rid of this low quality bunch of amatuers Treyarch.

You do realise that Treyarch, as a wholly owned company of Activision, are only doing their bidding, dont you?

Edit: And that Infinity Ward, as another wholly owned company of Activision, will do the exact same thing?

"Sales" of COD map pack hit 2 million...

Erm no they don't.

Downloads of it hit 2 million (including 360/PS3) AND the FREE PC version.

At 8 quid the maps are a massive rip-off.

And yes the code for networking is clearly borked - "you get it as a complete kit of Activision said one developer on these forums when I said the network code plays very differently between the two games.

Judging by the inherent problems of trying to connect while in a party or with a friend on WAW compared tothe near faultless MW seems to indicate what I said was true all those months ago. Ping is king on MW where as WAW seems to have an unbalanced compensation mechanism whirring behind the scenes, which splutters and farts when trying to connect as a party.
