Rumours swirl around new Ubisoft project News

Ubisoft has declined to comment on rumours that Assassin's Creed alumni Jade Raymond is producing a new game called I Am Alive.
According to Gamekyo, it's due out in spring 2009 and has been in development at Parisian studio Darkworks for the last three years.
The Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC action title is a first-person affair. It's set in Chicago after a huge earthquake, and you play a survivor who's trying to remain alive. Don't expect heavy weapons and ultra-violence - it's said to be a relatively peaceful affair, although there will be munitions and ordnance of some kind available.
Word is there will be a big reveal at E3 next week, with a 14-20 minute video reportedly ready to go. A playable demo will apparently be on offer at the Leipzig Games Convention in August.
But Ubisoft declined to confirm or deny the rumours, giving Eurogamer a firm "No comment." So let's wait and see... Hopefully not for long.

Sounds really good - I remember reading about that PS2 game, but I never had a PS2 therefore never played it.
I'm assuming this will uses an Ass Creed-style control method to aid you clambering over rubble and the like. Although how often to earthquakes hit Chicago? Wouldn't LA or San Fran have been a better location? Sunnier, too. |

I know I certainly haven't grown tired of it yet at 31, and I rather hope I never do :). Granted, a gaming site would probably not be my first stop when I need a fix of gorgeous, but I'm definately not one to complain if a few attractive pictures should happen to pop up while I'm reading an article about something more or less unrelated. I don't mind a quick distraction now and then. |

Given how she pretty much balsed up Assasins creed. Why the heck would it be a good thing to put her name on a project? I know that I'm not looking forward to playing anything she produces and I certainly know that no reviewer is going to be honest about her games. Just look at how they fawned over her when she demoed creed. It was kind of pathetic, especially as all the gamers looking in from the outside kept asking where the gameplay was. Turned out the gamers were spot on and the reviewers looked like idiotic school boys with a crush.

Loved Assasins creed, and I just can't get bored of looking at the gorgeous Jade.
Also like the sound of this title. No guns + no angsty nu-metal theme = me interested. Ubisoft are doing good things these days. More power to 'em I say. |
