Rockstar's Agent "still in development"
No further news though, says Feder.
Take Two CEO Ben Feder ducked a question about PlayStation 3 exclusive Agent during this evening's Q1 financial conference call.
"The short answer is yes, still in development," he told an analyst who asked if it was still in development.
Agent was announced at E3 last year when we were told by Sony America's Jack Tretton that it "will take a player across the globe amid the shadowy world of espionage and assassins in the darkest hours of the 1970s".
In the meantime we've heard that it will be "genre-defining", and that it's hopefully due out this year.

Not really, The Agent is being developed by Rockstar North IIRC, and Red Dead Redemption is being handled by Rockstar San Diego (of Midnight Cub 1, 2, 3, 3 Tokyo Remix, LA fame - PSP versions were done by R* Leeds), so it's just the publisher Take-Two that's handling both.

No!!! Really? I hadn't heard about this game for about a month now and was so worried it wasn't being made.
Seriously though - do EG journalists have some sort of daily quota to meet, that we are presented with such "news"?

Smart doctor is smart it seems.
OKe why would i make a big story when those little words are enough to make my point
I really think agent will go multiplat now that ps and pc are going to get the dlc.
It all depends if the deal with take two went this way.
If Sony went to take two with the Agent Ip it cant go multiplat. But if Agent is a Take two IP big changes it will go multiplat.
Because if i were a publisher i would gladly want microsoft to finance the marketing in US like how Modern warfare 2 was marketed as a 360 exclusive here on tv in holland.
So yes as you can see im from holland so i dont speak English in real life. And it Eurogamer website not English speakingcountriesonlygamer.net

that's a bit harsh no? Rockstar North have always worked their socks off to get their games out ASAP.

Yeah but on the internet im not really want to type a long story or detailed opinion or idea.
Most of the time people will just skip over it scan for Flame bait and read the words wrong.
There are a few sites where you can do detailed messages this but 80% of the websites you cant or it just a waste of time thats why i typed the first message that way"Inbe4 its multiplay".

Didn't Rockstar detail three things why Agent is PS3 exclusive? You know, Cell Processor, HDD as standard and the massive storage of blu-ray?
Not trolling, just reminding

Yeah, I'm not trying to be harsh on the developer by guessing a 2012 release. It was more of a response to the blanket "still in development" statement. If that's the most info they can share with us about a game slated for 2010 when we're already in March of 2010, then I think their release window is in for a serious push. Not that I care, I'm a 'play it when it's good and done' person myself. And Rockstar North has never let me down (excepting Manhunt 2).

OK, I get your point now that you have elaborated, I agree Manhunt 2 was pants, big letdown, but North were just overseeing that one.

Dont know but would like a link to that
But you know that filling up 25 gig of game asset is expensive as hell.
The average game cost like 30 million to make then you have like 6 gig of data in it.
Multiply that with 4 and you get something like GTA 4 budget dont know if sony is willing to spend % of the dev cost.
And the ps 3 exclusive dont really have the track records of big sellers.
But yeah doesn't really matter for me i have both consoles so if i want to play it i can.
Will now stop with the multiplat discussion because this time of age 3rd party exclusives arent what you would say set in stone.
