Oh yeah, Rock Revolution. I had nearly forgotten about that one. Wonder how it deals with Ion drum kits.

Rock Revolution was doomed before it even existed.

So doomed before Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania right?

(At the risk of igniting the hardcore Bemani fans. Im probably right. Even before Guitar Hero. Guitar Freaks was a terrible, terrible game)

Unfortunately Rock Revolution wasn't developed by the folks from Beman;i instead Konami decided to get "the world’s leading independent developer of music, party and social games." (quoted from Zoe Mode's website). It's hard to argue with a quote like that when they've developed epic's like Dancing With The Stars and You're In The Movies.

"We won't mention the US reviews."

Well, you got me curious right there so I found IGN's review. Ouch.

Ouch indeed about the IGN review. There's one thing about it though - it seemed like the reviewer was pretty clueless about these games. I mean "most tracks are covers" - who the f* cares. GH2 is the most fun (tied with RB2 maybe) of these games and most of its tracks are covers. No vocals? Seriously...

So Eurogamer, PLEASE get someone halfway decent at expert (GH / RB -wise) to review this - chances are this is a skill game and it actually is fun at top difficulties. Then again, it could be pretty horrible in any case.

Saw Rock Revolution on sale in Gamestop while I was on my holiday last week (yes, I went to New York and visited game stores). 2nd hand PS3 copy was $19.99 new was $29.99. Nearly made the purchase - but I don't have any PS3 peripherals. Virgin Megastore in Times Square had GH Aerosmith with guitar on all platforms for $39.99
