Rock Band Song Pack 2 detailed
Out this month in the US.
Harmonix has detailed the second batch of downloadable Rock Band songs to be stuffed onto a disc and sold in shops.
The 20-strong collection will arrive on 17th November in the US, according to 1UP, and will also be offered on Xbox 360 and PS3 (the first collection was only available on Wii and PS2).
We're waiting to hear back from distributor EA about a European date and price. But you may remember the Rock Band Song Pack 1 cost GBP 25 on Wii, and GBP 20 on PS2.
By using our brain, we predict a price of around GBP 30 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 discs. This, we reasoned, was the cost of one song from Live Marketplace - 160 MSP (GBP 1.36) - multiplied by 20, which works out at GBP 27.20.
The full list is as follows:
- "Afterlife" - Avenged Sevenfold
- "Call Me" - Blondie
- "El Scorcho" - Weezer
- "Girl U Want" - Devo
- "Girls Who Play Guitars" - Maximo Park
- "Indestructible" - Disturbed
- "It Hurts" - Angels & Airwaves
- "Just What I Needed" - The Cars
- "Message in a Bottle" - The Police
- "Monkey Gone to Heaven" - Pixies
- "Rio" - Duran Duran
- "Saints of Los Angeles" - Motley Crue
- "Simple Man" - Lynyrd Skynyrd
- "Snow (Hey Oh)" - Red Hot Chili Peppers
- "The Perfect Drug" - Nine Inch Nails
- "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" - Fall Out Boy
- "Time Is Running Out" - Papa Roach
- "Why Do You Love Me" - Garbage
- "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" - Judas Priest
- "Zero" - Smashing Pumpkins

"Why Do You Love Me" - Garbage
"You've Got Another Thing Comin'" - Judas Priest
"Zero" - Smashing Pumpkins
I don't 100% remember these on the song store. They could be there, but I dunno. Anyone near a 360 (or that other thing, the black one with all the rubbish ports) want to check it out?

They're all definitely available, man. We've got two of the three of them.

I do indeed prefer more on the GH:WT track list than I do on the whole available catalogue of RB songs. Though this is moot since only one of them hass the greatest song ever made: Jesses Girl by Rick Springfield. Auto win.

and they need a LOT more Maxïmo

That's pretty pointless because Today is already on Rock Band 2.

Also, that tracklist is shit. Not least because, as that other person points out, some of them are already available on rock band 1. Lame.

You are an idiot. This is a track pack, these songs arent on Rock band 1, they were available as DLC for Rock band 1. However a the time of Rock Band 1's wii release in the US, DLC wasnt availalbe to wii - although it will be for Rock Band 2. So instead Harmonix are releasing these track packs which feature DLC songs for Wii users, or users without live or PSN. So its a pack of DLC songs for those who cant get dlc.
