Rock Band gets Foo Fighters, festive News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

22 December, 2008

Harmonix and MTV have gone festive with a special Rock Band 2 Christmas song pack, and even plan to add some Foo Fighters music tomorrow.

The Christmas songs are "Hanukkah Blessings" by Barenaked Ladies, "Christmas is the Time To Say I Love You" by Billy Squier, and "Blue Christmas" by The Pretenders, who are quite keen walkers.

The Rockin' The Holidays pack can be snapped up for 240 Microsoft Points (GBP 2.04 / EUR 2.88) as a bundle, or 80 MSP (GBP 0.68 / EUR 0.96) individually.

The Foo Fighters songs, on the other hand, are at the usual price of 440 MSP (GBP 3.74 / EUR 5.28) for all three, or 160 MSP (GBP 1.36 / EUR 1.92) each. Inside are "DOA", "Times Like These" and "This Is A Call".

Hear , Hear. Bought RockBand 2 for My nephew and you can't even get hold of a RB1 guitar, as his GH3 guitar broke

Rest of world yawns, music fans with taste vomit. Life goes on.

When they get some Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult or.. you know... some GOOD rock, let me know.

Foo Fighters song pack = sold.

ChisChis, are you saying I don't have taste in music because I like the Foo Fighters? Everyone has different tastes in music, so I wouldn't be saying that....

More Foo Fighters! Hurrah!

Also: a large crack has appeared in my drum pedal. What do I do?

Short term, get a piece of metal to act as a splint and tape it down with the strongest stuff you've got; duck tape works fairly well. Long term, get one of the metal pedal covers (Mad Catz do one, I believe) and screw that on to hold it together, or get some strong glue and glue said piece of metal on. Mine snapped in half a long, long time ago. Much as with the RRoD on 360s, the RB1 drum pedal breaking appears to be a case of "when", not "if."

At least the RB2 pedal is reinforced.
