Robin readied for Arkham Asylum II?
Warner not ruling him out.
Warner has avoided confirming whether Robin will be in Batman: Arkham Asylum II.
When presented with evidence from IMDB - where the Batman: Arkham Asylum II listing casts Vincent Marbella as Robin - Warner shrugged, telling Kotaku that, "To our knowledge, what you asked about is inaccurate information. We are not yet discussing details for the sequel."
Last July, Batman: Arkham Asylum game director Sefton Hill told Eurogamer he "loves" Robin, but that the timeline of the first game pre-dated the Dynamic Duo. "A lot of people who don't read the comics don't know how cool Robin can be," he said.
When pressed on the addition of Robin and co-op, Sefton added that there were "lots of exciting ideas", although no immediate plans for friends to play together.
Details of Batman: Arkham Asylum II are scarce. The game is confirmed as in development at Rocksteady Studios - now owned by Warner - but no platforms or dates have been mentioned.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was released last year and breathed new life not only into the Batman IP, but into superhero adaptations in general.

No. Just no. Bats works alone these days and I like that.

Because every potential great single-player game these days must contain a rubbish multiplayer mode you can play online.

What's wrong with having Robin in the game? People don't assume that when they say Batman they are making a Batman game based on Adam West so what possible reason is there for thinking they'd do the same with Robin?
People are seriously stupid

(And their relationship is father and son. Granted, it's weird, but we are talking about a guy who dresses up as a bat. He's clearly flipping insane.)

Based on the last two movies maybe. I think we all know that Rocksteady are looking more to the comics for their inspiration (i haven't read any i must say).
I don't care who they have in the second, as long as it's more of the same. Batman: AA is easily one of the best games i've ever played - i rank it up there with Half-Life 2, X-Com and Deus Ex. (Disclaimer: all that is IMO, of course, before the petty argueing starts)

So, in conclusion: Robin (or Nightwing, even!) is A Good Thing. And the current Batman & Robin comic is my favourite comic of all time.

Robin can be a touch of light-heartedness in a grim narrative; a sounding board; a humanising aspect to a grim n gritty Bats; a partner, enabling tactics requiring two people; an opportunity to explore storylines outside of "reclusive billionaire philanthropist playboy"; a way of discussing mortality, legacies, and the future.
In games? Co-op, partnerships, different player models, etc...

If they do proper Batman & Robin co-op including join takedowns and cooperative melee moves, I will have a Batgasm.

A campy outdated 60s idea that they had in 1940? Wow, forward thinking there.
Originally Robin was designed so that Batman a) had someone to talk to (this was pre-Alfred) and b) to appeal to younger kids. The character is as campy as you want to make it, and the idea of a single man adopting an orphan as realistic as you wish to pursue it.

One way to go is to skip Dick Grayson (the Robin many know), and move onto Jason Todd which would make for a much more compelling tale, especially for a game.
And for those still moaning about co-op and multiplayer, it won't be in every game, but its here to stay, get used to it. Judge each game that uses such options on their own merits. There's a reason why very few console games are multiplayer only, and if all single player games were going to disappear tomorrow, you'd have a point.
Whatever they do, I'll look forward to BAA2.

Robin hasn't worn green underpants in decades. His current costume is all black with a red "bodywarmer" style vest. Before that he basically wore a Batman costume but red instead of grey, and before THAT his underpants were red, over the top of full-length green trousers.
That a help?

Reading between the lines here but..... you miss the green underpants don't you.

As long as the game's as good as the first one I'll be happy.
*Well, I'll be a little annoyed if it didn't have Batman in it

No, but that was a slightly disturbing post I made.
My favourite costume is probably the current one, although I prefer the black-cape-with-yellow-lining of the Tim Drake years: http://im age3.examiner.com/images/blog/E...
