Robbie Williams Racing on App Store News

iPhone News by Robert Purchese

27 November, 2009

Artificial Life has immortalised British pop star Robbie Williams in a brand new iPhone game available right now on the App Store.

Robbie Williams Racing costs £1.79 and invites you to ride against the singer in a motorbike dash across the Mojave desert, because this, obviously, was the setting for his recent "Bodies" single.

That song "Bodies", along with "Difficult for Weirdos", has been recreated in-game, and you can unlock remixes, photos and videos as you go.

Robbie Williams has been involved deeply. His "exclusive" commentary guides you through the game, and you can buy his new album directly from the game!

Head over to the App Store to buy.

News day update: yep, still slow.

Is this anything like Road Rash... perhaps involving the player riding up alongside Robbie and repeatedly whipping him in the face with a chain before kicking him off the bike. But it's ok, because he's straight back on his motor, which skidded to a halt conveniently behind him, and now he's riding off into the sunset... ahhh... Robbie...

Fuck sake EG. There's lots of really good games on the iTunes store and, over thanksgiving, they are massively reduced in price. Big titles from EA, Gameloft and other developers.

Yet you post shit like this. Why not actually find some news rather than regurgitating whatever crap press release comes across your desk.

I was just talking about how there was a lack of Robbie Williams licenced racing games out for any console the other day. Good to see Robbie Williams and his world-famous love of racing games have been put together on a format perfect for it.

No, I am not drunk or stoned!

I suspect this is meant as a tongue-in-cheek story rather than in opposition to posting about the cut-price app store titles...
...Steam are also have a 5 day one day sale on atm.

So it's an interactive advert for Mr. I'm-Really-Gifted-And-Not-At-All-Gay's new album. That you have to pay for.

Tell me about it. At least this is better than the 2 false / missleading articles they printed so far.. I loose respect easily. I like EG, i dont like the hardcore pricks in the comment sections that cant comment without their console's company pointing a gun on their heads ( seems like it from the way they act on the comments ) and now this.. Like i said. Better fill in the gaps with stupid releases on Apppstore than the crap they were making up earlier with Bioware etc..

On topic: is anyone seriously going to buy this? I would understand if it was a raving chick fan.. Yeah she would buy even if he was buttnaked chasing with his dong flapping around. There is no selfrespect there but who will buy this one other than a fan? Do they actually play those silly things that have flooded the appstore. Variety is good but this is just stupid anymore.

are you trying to tell me that Robbie Williams is involved in something that could be in some way described as generic??....He should be ashamed of himself.

oh come on people, this is Google bait. They want a few extra uniques to bolster the pre Christmas rush and a few thousand Williams fans who would never visit a games site is an easy win.
