It got 9.5/10 in todays 'The Times' reader review.

erm, not a lot to say really. Just more of the same? Another OK football game that will sell shedloads.

"One thing you absolutely, categorically do not do, Sven, is put Emile Heskey on the pitch. You see what happens? You see?"

    Comedy Gold :)

Played this over the last 2 days. Garbage, pure and simple. Plus some of the graphics are pretty shoddy - character models just look weird, the numbers on the back of shirts are the wrong size and typeface and the crowd animation is shocking.

Beckham's still got a ponytail and there's no way to edit the old royal barnet. Very poor.

Was back playing PES3 within minutes.

I felt like crying when I sold a copy of this a couple of weeks ago to an unsuspecting customer for forty quid when he could've bought PES3 for twenty...

Actually, come to think of it, I was probably closer to hitting him on the head in the vain attempt to make him see the light than I was to shedding tears.

    Another "Average" EA game?

Is EA a new byname for, "Everything Average"?

Ahh well... it'll sell... you know it'll sell.

Must say that the shot of the team shown in the screenshot on the frontpage is a good screenshot. Probably the best part of the entire game.

Genome - even though the players forming the wall for the free kick look like they're lining up for the national anthem?

Errr well unfortunately i remember back in 1990 when US Gold did something uncannily similar by releasing a cash-in rehash for the world cup Italy 1990.. awful just awful.

I'm still playing PES3 nearly 8 months since I bought it. You can edit the teams so there is no need for it to become 'old' and require a stats update like FIFA.

Aye! Roll on Xbox PES... Not long now! Will it be Live? Will it be licensed? Will it feature a jumpers for goalposts mode? I'm looking forward to it so much I may well steal a box when it appears on the 'coming soon' shelves of my local Game and place it lovingly under my pillow!

The player models heads are too big for their bodies. I realise this may be intentional so people can recognise who's who, but they look a bit like children.

Maybe EA should buy Konami and then everyone would be happy.

Heh heh - I doubt that very much!
