Resistance 2 about as long as first one
As Ted Price backs shorter games.
Insomniac's Ted Price has said that Resistance 2's campaign "should be as long or longer than [Resistance: Fall of Man's]".
Price was talking to Eurogamer reader Darren in our latest live interview, adding that, "We haven't timed it out yet but it's shaping up to be huge."
Darren had been fishing for a different answer though, having asked whether - after "the shortness of Haze and Call of Duty 4", we would see a more expansive campaign. "By the way," Price added, "I though COD4 absolutely rocked.
"I liked the fact that its campaign wasn't 10-15 hours. It made for a more intense experience."
Resistance 2 is due out in November.

Resistance: FoM was actually a very decent length for a FPS anyway but I get worried that the multiplayer mode takes priority over the single/co-op campaign and that we might end up with a short game. I'm sure Call of Duty 2 for example was a longer game than Call of Duty 4... I might be wrong though, it's been a while since I played the former...

Resistance 1 had a good length IMO, was able to finish it in about a week (heavy playing during the weekend and some nights during the week). If it had been any longer I probably would have gotten bored and started something else and would still not have finished it... On the one hand I like games to be long to get my money's worth (irrational, I know). On the other hand that often means games drag at the end (even the otherwise excellent Okami was kind of a bore the last 5 hours) or that I don't finish them at all...

More varied co-op would rock from a height.
Roll on November.

I would have liked halo3 to be a bit longer, because I was enjoying it a lot, but resistance got a bit repetitive and dull towards the end, only make it the same length (or longer) if you can make it more involving / varied than the last one.
A crap game can end up being pretty good if it doesn't outstay its welcome. Not that resistance was crap, it just didn't live up to what was expected.
