Resident Evil 5 has sold nearly five million units according to Capcom's chief financial officer Kazuhiko Abe.
In an interview with Reuters, Abe said it had sold 570,000 units in April after reported sales of 4.4 million in March.
Meanwhile, the publisher's US branch has denied that the second mystery game due to be announced at E3 is Devil May Cry 5.
"Hot rumour bust of the day: Capcom E3 Mystery Title #2 is not - repeat, NOT - Devil May Cry 5. Now, what do you think it is?" the company said on Twitter.
Cubed3 (thanks vg247) has added up previous Tweets to establish that it's an action game in an existing series, but isn't a remake.
All of which gives us pause to reflect on Capcom's most successful series list from earlier in the month. Resident Evil is no doubt still in front, and the next biggest series after recently updated ones and DMC are Onimusha, Dino Crisis and Ghosts 'N Goblins.
