Report: Hulu heading to Xbox 360
Integration to be announced at E3?
Microsoft is set to announce Xbox 360 support for US streaming video service Hulu at E3, according to a report.
Gear Live reckons that a "very reliable source" told them Hulu will be integrated into the 360 dashboard in a similar fashion to Netflix.
Apparently the service would be subscription-based, although there's no word on what folks would have to pay.
Hulu is a US-only streaming video site for TV shows and movies from various networks, and given that the service blocks access from non-US addresses, it seems unlikely we'll see it here whether the rumour's true or not.
Microsoft already offers regional streaming TV services, including Sky Player in the UK and Canal+ in France, and we may see more of those in future.
We've contacted Microsoft for comment.

Why the hell havent MS done a deal with Lovefilm here? surely the first console that allows us a Netflix like subscription would shift loads of consoles. It would certainly add more value to Gold subs being able to stream your qued films through the 360... especially the amount of free months you can get out of Lovefilm

Seriously Eurogamer why do you report this? This could be shoved in as a added report to "iPlayer STILL not coming to the Xbox 360" and then as a side note "Hule Head...." why do you report things we can't use, can't have, where theres blocks on IP addresses so we can never use it. Why do you break down 1 report into 5 articles summary's exist for a reason you know.

You DO realize that Eurogamer has alot of readers from the States, right? Besides, gaming is a global medium. I might not personally be impacted by news in the Japanese market, but that doesn't make something there not news.
And now, since I'm sitting here as an American scolding Europeans to think about the world in a more global and interconnected manner, I've clearly entered the Bizarro dimension. I'm going back to bead. Hopefully I'll wake up back in my world.

Good luck to you with that, I hope the world makes sense again once you get up.
That being said I can sort of understand where they're all coming from. I think a lot of us come to Eurogamer because of its Eurocentricism; that is to say up until the current generation of consoles we were used substantially late releases, dodgy PAL conversions, and games that never even make it to our shores whatsoever. The idea of having news tailored to the market we happen to be stuck with is slightly more appealing than a tour of shiny things we can't have.
You're right, Eurogamer should report on this, but a lot of us (myself included) are frustrated that we'll never see its like here and some tend to shoot the messenger.
