Ratchet on sale early in USA
Sony "happy to allow" it.
Here's something you don't see very often: a game's producer telling retailers it's okay to sell something ahead of its official release date since they already have it in stock.
You may recall that Sony originally intended Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction should go on sale from 23rd October in the USA, but subsequently had to drop it a week, pitching an official release date of 30th October.
"Well, due to some unexpected quickness at the factory, a vast majority of retailers have already received the game," Greg Phillips, SCEA's line producer, writes on the official US Sony blog. "With that, some retailers are choosing to release the game next week instead of waiting until the 30th, which we are all too happy to allow."
Meanwhile, over here in Europe, retailers are pointing to a 9th November date for Ratchet & Clank, which seems to be pretty reliable.

But damn, it sure is purrty.
I predict an EG review score of 7, maybe 8 - summarised by "more of the same high quality, with gorgeous visuals, but not enough innovation", then howls of fanboi outrage about how Halo3 wasn't marked down for this.
Still gonna buy it though.
