Rainbow Islands heads Nintendo updates
One for WiiWare, one VC, one DSi.
Nintendo has updated its various online shops with three new games across WiiWare, Virtual Console and DSiWare.
Rainbow Islands: Towering Adventure is today's WiiWare offering, sliding in at 800 Wii Points (GBP 6 / EUR 8 approx), and the idea - as is traditional - is to make it to the top of some very tall stages by making rainbows.
Also for Wii there's the sole Virtual Console offering, Fantasy Zone II for Master System (500 Wii Points - GBP 3.50 / EUR 5 approx), which is a side-scrolling shooter with amazingly bright and happy graphics.
Finally, there's A Little Bit of... Magic Made Fun: Deep Psyche for DSi (200 DSi Points - GBP 1.50 / EUR 2 approx), which takes another magic trick out of the Magic Made Fun DS game and makes slightly more of it.

Unfortunately they didn't though, so this the absolute abortion-tastic, gashmunt WiiWare 'sequel' made by Dickware Interactive or whoever. PUT THE ARCADE VERSION ON THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE D:

It should be made the law that any remake of Rainbow Islands has to include a perfect conversion of the original, I'm getting sick of arrogant developers thinking they can improve on the design of something that is perfection.
Maybe they'll release a cash-in 25th Anniversary version including the original. Then again, the history of modern Rainbow Islands games suggests it'll have everything but the original.
