There's a reason they call it 'hack and slash'.

The review seems pretty fair. Nice to see that it wasn't the typical "Argh! Hack and Slash games were boring back in the 80s! Hate them! 3/10" style review.

The game was easily as enjoyable as the Norath PS2 games to play and miles better than the first one. The developer who wrote that god-awful mess of an inventory system needs a good slap though, but the game was fun :)

Well, I love the first one (3/10 my arse) Not as good as Baldurs Gate DA but not a million miles off either, its addictive and great to have a dungeon crawler on the go.

This one dosnt grab me though, dont like the look of the new char designs etc...

hack'n'slash can be fun, if done proprelly - X-Men Legends, for example.

But the previous Untold Legends (IMO), was pretty lame..., random dungeons (!), I thought that thing was buried.

Load times killed its predecessor for me. The caption could have been, "Do you think you can do nothing for 3 minutes out of every five? If not... go right home now nancy boy."

So the review doesn't even bother to address the one issue that plagued the first game...

Nice work Eurogamer...

A good review doesn't force the reader to play 'guess the subtext'

Loading times aren't that much of an issue any more.
It still has to load up each new level, but it doesn't take anywhere near as long as it did in 1. Also, they've taken out the teleport idea, so you can go straight to the level you want instead of having to track through 3 dungeons just to get to the next location.

The whole game is much, much, much better than the first one - it compares very favourably to PS2 Baldurs Gate / Norath games.
