4/10? its a disgrace! better than driv3r? outrage! but gamerankings says it has an average ratio of 66.5%, therefore you are being overly harsh, and therefore you have no clue what you are talking about, and therefore your score means nothing. you're focusing to much on the negatives in the game! you suck!!!

/ sarcasm mode disengage

personally, the series has been on quite a slide since the original. this comes as no shock.

Methinks Kristan needs to be given something good to review; he's starting to sound like he might be gearing up to throw himself off a tall building ;) Driv3l then this...poor bloke...

Yeah, give Kristan the San Andreas and Halo 2 reviews to make up for these repeated outrages!

I am suffering from a succession of poor to average games at the mo, which sucks, but there you go. Gotta take the rough with the smooth.

Rob's doing GC 2, Tom's doing Full Spectrum W, I might end up doing Soldiers, but for now it's Athens and then maybe Joint Ops.

Gamerankinds also says "DRIV3R PS2 67.1%" so guess there is some truth there :-P. Maybe they should both receive 3, now that would be fair!

I loved the first 3 Syphon Filter games, sure there was nothign unique or original about them but what they did they did well.

When I heard about the respawning bad guys in Omega Strain my heart sank, 989 had spoiled one of my favourite gaming experiences, this review confirms it :(

I might pick this up if I see it hanging around the second hand section of game.

Oh well.

[edit]

Krudster Joint Ops is a great game, hit people with sticks till you get that review :)

Gutted, I loved the first two. The first one would have been more popular had it come out before metal gear.

Shame, two games I was looking forward to Driver 3 and now this. I just hope half life 2 and halo 2 doesnt go the some way, I might become disinchanted with gaming..................nah who am I kidding.

/me goes to play pro evo 3

Why can't they just leave PSone games that have run out of steam!

SCEA should stick with what their good at i.e. the J&D/R&C type genres.

It's terrible. Played it (or better said, TRIED to play it) side by side with "Splinter Cell: PT" and it was utter tat. Too bad, loved the first games!

He was comparing the AI.

Plus, since Halo came out ages ago, I think he has a point.

That's a massive shame, I was rather looking forward to this too. Maybe I'll rent it, just because I was so interested.

But constantly respawning enemies? Just say No.

What? No "Gabe runs like he's sh@t his pants" quips?

Awww. What a bummer. Loved the first 3.

Normally we get nominally good games crippled by crap control, combat and camera systems (glares at GTAVC and a zillion other irritating 3rdP titles).

This time, they've taken (IMHO) the best 3rd person control and camera system I've ever played, and plunked it into a crap game. Just to flog a few more bl**dy network adapters.

Frickin online fricking internet frickin headset frickin socom frickin respawn FRICKIN CRAP!!

Seems to be an excellent example of the law of diminishing quality sequels if you check the Gamerankings score history...

SF1: 87%
SF2: 81%
SF3: 76%
SF:OS: 66%

Any bets on the PS3 version breaking 50%?
