I've been waiting for SF:DM myself, heard the MP is not bad at all there either.
So, is SOCOM better than SF:DM for trigger hungry gamers?

I think the guy on the front page is drinking water. I dont know about them yanks, but our soldiers wear water packs over their body instead of canisters or bottles, they have a small dinking tube at the top of their gear.

7/10 is the score I would give the single player game. It's definitely in the good not great category. But there isn't a score high enough for the online experience.

I've had the game 2 months and I don't think I've played less than 3 hours in any day since then. Even with the iffy habits of the comms for late arrivals and the sporadic disconnects you sometimes suffer, it is superb.

A day without it just feels wrong.

Edit: Playing as "I Am Hughes" if anyone fancies killing me.

Totally agree with you Hughes (you're 1st name's not 'Paul' is it?).

My online name is the same as in here.

You can't miss me (pun intended); I'm the one splintering off from the pack, charging in guns blazing, taking down two & then dying. All in about 20 seconds.

I'll keep an eye out for you, I'm mostly in ranked "Captive" games, as I want to reach 100 ranked games (94 atmo) and get off the Ensign grade.

DSMX, have you tried the PSP's auto setup for connecting. If that fails it should work if you enter the same connection settings you have on your PC/Mac or whatever else is connected to your router. Also, is the WLAN switch on :¬]

dsmx: probably best to set up PSP manually IMHO.

Make sure you're setting the PSP to a seperate IP address, eg. 192.168.5.x where x is unique in your WLAN and the 192.168.5 corresponds with the routers address. Your Default Gateway 'should' be 192.168.5.1 (same rules apply!).

The DNS should be 255.255.255.0 and if your WLAN is passworded you will need to enter that in as well.

Phew! Maybe Hughes is right......

here's the thing I know i've got the right ip address as i can browse the web, it's when i come to the server browser bit i get a connection error. So when I asked what I shopuld do to bt and sony they said something about port forwarding so I want to know what the hell there talking about and how to do it.
