Singstar (and all karaoke IMO) kicks ass.

I've seen several people (quite reasonably) uncomfortable with the idea of singing in company (or listening to their peers doing the same) but a few songs (and beers) later and everyone is kicking it out, the shackles of dignity well and truly discarded.

Kristan, regarding your comment on the songs being too high. If you sing them in key I agree, but you can happily drop down an octave or two if needed and Singstar is still quite happy that you are singing the right notes. This makes unexpected "its a pop song so lets move up a fifth near the end" moments easier to deal with if you are already scraping the ceiling (with a cat nailed to a violin in some cases).

Plus as a bonus, the comedy warbling that occurs whilst most people stumble their way down the scale until they find the right note again, is often a real treat.

Yeah, I'm aware of singing it in a lower octave - I made the point in the review. Sometimes, though, (like Alan Partridge singing 'Close to you') you sound shit in either octave!

I fully expect to be performing Eye Of The Tiger in a semi-public venue before Christmas.

Some times I feel I've got to
/clap clap
Run away, I've got to

Get away from the pain you drive into the heart of me
The love we share seems to

Go nowhere, and I've lost my light
For I toss and turn I can't sleep at night

Euro release, eh?

So the reports of localised version for countries were false? Or you just didn't think it deserved any mention? At all.

Afraid not. They aren't special multitrack karaoke cuts, they are just original recordings.
