In the interview you discussed a simple command mode. Did you try this and was it still not enough to be able to do the special moves? I really love SFA3, I'm really disappointed if they considered this problem and STILL failed to address it... :(

I think its plain shortsightedness on Nintendo's part not to put 4 buttons on the thing as well as the shoulder buttons. Gah.

The controls are awkward but you do get accustomed

Well that's good news. I had trouble adjusting to the PSX controller for doing hodokens etc as well, they just don't come out as easily, while a friend of mine says the PSX controller is perfect for SF.

"Well. Hum. Street Fighter fans in need of a Game Boy beater have nowhere else to turn"

Presumably you mean nowhere else besides the gba version of super streetfighter 2 turbo. ;-)

I tried SSFII on GBA briefly, but it just didn't feel right. I bought this the other day though (along with the original GBA Castlevania, heh) and felt right at home. As with every previous SF game, I'm crap at it, but it looks glorious.

SFA3 Upper is fully furnished with all ... the various other perks of the 32-bit versions, but the controls are too much of a pitfall.

Um, SFA3^ is a 32-bit version. I don't know about any other platforms it's been released on though.
