Well, here you have an expert opinion about Ratchet & Clank, UncleLou... Hope you're happy.

I bought Mario and Blinx, so this is out of the question. Maybe the platinum edition later next year.

So my topic didn't go completely unnoticed...

Well, Tiitiz and DocX, it didn't appeal to me at first, too, but now I think I'll get ít sooner or later. Though normally not really into platformers, I liked J&D a lot, and the inclusion of weapons and a robot as a side-kick sounds good...

krudster, could you drop a few words on minigames, puzzles, etc. please? I also read there are Pikmin-like elements in the game?

So what's the difference between this and Mario/Blinx, two games which you've already said you have?

Yup, I own Mario and Blinx but from this review it does not appeal to me. I also like J&D for the few hours i played it on a friends machine but feel it should have just been left at that.

Guys n Gals, it's my opinion after reading the review. I cant comment more and wont cause i never played it.

If you're anything like me you'll have approached this with scepticism, and boredom. But after a couple of hours you warm to it. It really does grab you after that. I'm about halfway through, and looking forward to spending another 10 hour session on it sometime (if there is any time after all these bloomin releases have stopped)....

Well, Mugs has the US Gamecube, and I sportingly passed on my copy of Starfox Adventure to him, so you'll have to ask him. By all accounts it's not picking up hugely enthusiastic review coverage from what I've read. Even NGC gave it 72% and they had it on their cover, while Edge gave it a 6....

yeah i picked up NGC myself for the first time. they seemed to say it looked lovely but was ultimately quite dull and over to quickly and VERY easy. CVG gave it about 8 i think. but then again, after reading CVG I think thats the last time im ever gonna get it. One paragraph reviews for some of the big games ?? wah!? oh well.

I think SMS and Monkeyball will last me when i finally get my cube anyway. ooh and smash bros that ive cunningly bought my fiance for crimbo. hehehe.

God, SS Bros drove me insane. Even my 13 year old nephew, who loved the N64 version thought it was shite. Eternal Darkness was pretty good, if you like that sort of thing. Quite slow though.

Since it's not on Xbox, I can't pretend to like/ enjoy/ think it's better than Mario.

Seriously though, I would probably get this game if it went platinum and became cheap. At the moment it just seems a little too J&D to warrant a 'new game purchase.

pick up the resulting bolts (which are magnetically attracted to Clank)

Yes, um. Er... Well, wouldn't that make him stick to the floor?

Thank God for that! I thought I was the only person on the surface of the Earth who didn't see what all the fuss was about. I found it dull after about the third game, even in multiplayer.

I played SSB on a work mates machine and thought it was alright. Nothing making me go out and but it though. Perhaps trade or used in the future after Christmas.

Hmm... I quite like the look of this now. I completed Jak & Daxter 100% (every single damn orb!!!), so I'm in need of some new platforming goodness. Argos have it for £29.99 which makes it worth a punt imo.

The real problem is there are too many good new games at the moment and not enough time to play them!

Tried to buy it yesterday, but the two shops I was in didn't have it in stock. Bought the OPSM2 with the demo instead and quite liked it, but I have to know whether it's possible to invert camera movement in the full version, and not only vertical, but also horizontal? The camera moves in the wrong direction, imo.

Btw, the disc contained an "exclusive Getaway video" (about 15 secs long, no kidding!) and a demo of WRCII which is so bad it's almost funny. Feels like driving a cardboard car on the moon.

Kruds i fear u have missed my point. it is for my fiance. and that being the case, even if it WAS shite, being a girl that doesnt get games for her self normally, she will be unable to say the game is poo, and will play it regardless. its in their genetic make-up.

She played Nighmare creatures all the way thru for godsake!!

god, you poor sod. Nightmare Creatures? A game that would officially make any sane person commit murder.

As for inverting camera etc - yes you can alter vertical and horizontal axis if you so wish.

Oh, and that WRC 2 demo is shocking isn't it? The full game is nothing like that, however. Can't believe Sony allowed that demo out there.

I really do not like this game. It's pretty, but then so what...it's still the same lame old 3D platformer style game that's been seen far too many times before. I still can't figure out how this got such a good review in OPSM2. It's vile!

Good to hear that the full game's better. Really hard to understand how they could publish such a demo. I mean, I always thought demos are there to promote a game, not to scare off potential buyers. Although I believe your words, I have for now lost any interest in the game whatsoever...'t was just too shocking.

UncleLou: What do you have against racing on the moon? It seems to be great fun (scroll down the page). Especially with a Nintendo tune and these lyrics.
