lol Xerxes, don't lie.
Gonna read it in a bit, just wanted to see what the comments would have started as. I am amazed at 1up giving it a 10 after what they said about it though, alot of flaws to mention and they gave it a 10, weird. Otherwise though the game looks great. |

It's strange that a site journalist would make a post,the first post infact, to provoke a bit of outrage,and conflict :/ I haven't read the review yet as I've got to shoot off to college,but an 8 seems fair enough.I'll still be buying it first thing,infact I'll hopefully get it on the Tuesday as I work in Game :)

Oddly, the review text in most places seemed more positive than the 1-up review!
The game's basically just being marked down because it's nothing "new" then, right? (Hang on, didn't you guys just give FFXII 10/10?) |

1UP Review - 10/10 Gamespot - 9.6 Yahoo Games - 4.5/5 Xplay(TV) - 5/5 Official Xbox Magazine - 10/10 IGN - 9.4 Eurogamer 8, why does that not surprise me, when Chromehounds got a 4... Doom got a 9 from Eurogamer. And here's a really funny one. COD 2 and Perfect Dark Zero both got 7's. Yeah, it was splitting hairs between those 2 shooters, but one thing is for sure, neither could compare to DOOM! Now that's a 9 for sure! LOL. Good stuff. Reviews you can count on... Do they pick their review scores by playing darts after a few pints? LOL!

I don't own a 360 and I was kind of meh about this game. But everything negative you have to say doesn't put me off at all - I kind of like silly machoism (i.e. 80s action films like Commando and Predator). I KNOW its stupid and completely improbable and in the real world has no place. But in light entertainment I like it! |

Ahh, it's the same thing as usual from EG. It's not innovatinve enough so therefore it's not more than an 8 ;).
i liked the review though and since I actually do not mind it not being that super long it just confirms that this is the game for me. Looking forward reading more about multiplayer. BTW - no mention how the game plays in Coop mode? But you maybe didn't get more than one copy i guess. Would have been fun to see how Coop was on one machine though. |
