The bending of bodies and clash of flesh and nature is very powerful.

aaaaaaaaaaaaand this is where we leave Mugs alone with the mattress and a copy of DOA3.

"I suppose this could be compared to Tekken Tag on PS2 both" Tekken Tag PAL version is surely not worth even 3/10? Tekken 3 I would give 8/10.

Anyone tried out the XBox arcade stick yet?

It does have some of the best graphics I've seen on a console... but for me the playability was lacking.

Its not as good as DOA2 on the DC. Its a bit prettier but its one of the worst fighters available. Personally I would give it at most 5/10.

But then his keen eye spotted the xbox logo, he grinned and decreased the score by two points.

Ah, the true words of lack of wisdom. It might also have something to do with the fact that the game is mostly crusting and not really a fullblown cake.

I'm actually a gameswriter myself (I don't use the word journalist since I don't have the proper education) and I write alot about Xbox games. So far, the only ones I think is worth buying is RSC and PGR. Halo was ok, but the second half was rubbish.

I have yet to play Amped and Tony Hawk 3 though, and I haven't played that much of JSRF though.

Xbox Dead or Alive 3 (18-Apr-2002) 6/10
Xbox Genma Onimusha (24-Mar-2002) 6/10
Xbox Halo (13-Mar-2002) 8/10
Xbox Max Payne (23-Mar-2002) 6/10
Xbox NHL 2002 (12-Apr-2002) 7/10
Xbox NHL Hitz 20-02 (05-Apr-2002) 6/10
Xbox Oddworld : Munch's Oddysee (14-Mar-2002) 6/10
Xbox Project Gotham Racing (25-Mar-2002) 8/10
Xbox Rallisport Challenge (28-Mar-2002) 10/10
Xbox Simpsons Road Rage (04-Apr-2002) 7/10
Xbox Star Wars Obi-Wan (09-Apr-2002) 4/10
Xbox Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (27-Mar-2002) 8/10

So in general slightly above average, a couple of 8's and a stand-out 10. Pretty fair and actually accurately represents the consumer demand for these kinds of titles/the Xbox in Europe at launch. I'm sure things will improve, as they did with PS2. We didn't give many high PS2 scores for a good 6 months after launch (other than GT3) iirc.

Congrats. Eurogamer you are the winner for the worst Xbox scores around the world. Maybe you should get reviewers that dont hate the Xbox to make the reviews next time. Why this place is multi-console is beyond me.

If you think that EG is a bad place for Xbox reviews, then fuck off and visit some site that hasn't got the spine to tell the truth. Even if I don't always agree with the scores, I don't bitch about it, I got my own opinion about things and I don't need to have other people's score to feel good about myself and my purchase.

Yup that was your truly. I recorded it a few minutes ago, just to let you guys know how to pronunce my nick. Skalman is a Swedish comic-magazine character, an inventing turtle with a "food and sleep watch", whenever it rings, he must eat or sleep, regardless what he's doing at the moment.

I chose Skalman as my nick when I started playing Doom 2 at my schools local LAN. I added the XL when I started playing on the internet, since I now was bigger and badder, and I was on a bigger turf... and it should always be written in small letters. There you have it, my life's story.

And just for notice, skal is a perfect short for my nick, alot of english-speaking peoples use that, in Swedish, it's normally skalis or skalle.

If one was to convert my name to English from Swedish, it would be shellmanxl, as shell=skal. More Skalman goodies (he is in the comic magazine Bamse och hans vänner) can be found here

One thing people have failed to mention is that you can rename the "name" of your xbox by completing various parts of DOA3. Unfortunately, my flat mate bestowed it upon himself to complete DOA3 on my console with his profile, so I now have it labelled "Steve", which is tres annoying.

Does anyone know of the other games which allow you to change its name?

ssuellid - Loss of playability may be down to the bloody D-pad on the controller swithching to the analogue stick is pointless (they should have included an option to make the stick 'stickier' i.e. act more like a D-pad) I'll wait and see what the S-controller is like with it. Saying that the gameplay doesn't come near SC. Roll on SC2 I say when is the release date for that one?

DOA 2 was a 8/10 for eurogamer in 2000 (same reviewer).
I own DOA2 and played DOA3 recently.

It's not a 6/10 game. If you want to be fair it's another 8/10 or maybe if you hate, let me emphasize that, HATE beat'em ups a 7/10.

As I said, for the most part, I agree with eurogamer reviews but this one is just too biased.

Just my opinion though.
