Blimey, this review has been a while in coming! ;)

Anyway, pleased the result is positive as I've (hopefully) got this to look forward to come Christmas time. I've enjoyed the last two Age games (and even the Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds spin-off!) so it's nice to see this improves upon the old formulas.

And my ageing PC will be able to cope too!

the amount of polish which has gone into Warcraft III is almost sickening, i seriously doubt any RTS is going to out-class it. AoM however does sound different enough to warrent owning both games - considering im a huge RTS fan.

I would say it's worth purchasing both; they are both good games with tons of polish.

peronally I prefer this to Warcraft III. But then I found the limitations on the number of units in War III a bit much.

The single player campaign is probably better for War III but once you get into multiplayer ( vs. humans or A.I. ) age of mythology really shines.

I think they should push more into the future. Into the 1500+ time period with their next Age of Empires game.

As for this, Its a good game, I just hope to see some of the less obvious cultures in a expansion, Celtic and Hindu gods would be cool.

I really enjoyed this game and actually prefer it to WC3. I liked the single player a lot and I think I am currently on the last mission. I liked the way in which you can "buy" Myth creatures and all in all, its a very pretty game. I will have to give it a go multiplayer soon :-)
