Well at least they are taking this action worldwide and not just in Europe or the UK as originally rumoured.
It still going to mess up the maketing and release schedule. Marketing for next week will have already been bought and paid for, so we may end up with print and online adverts still running next weekend. The also isn't a sensible week in which they could now release it without at least some of its limelight being stolen. \is an extremely sad panda |

The words are: 1- In the 18th second: "كل نفس ذائقة الموت" ("kollo nafsin tha'iqatol mawt", literally: 'Every soul shall have the taste of death'). 2- Almost immediately after, in the 27th second: "كل من عليها فان" ("kollo man alaiha fan", literally: 'All that is on earth will perish'). MarkHW, your comments are bizarre. We live in sensitive times and Sony are just showing consideration for every culture. You may not be religious but many are. Your comments seem a little immature as this kind of action should be applauded by Sony not condemned. Just because people will have to wait a couple more weeks there's no need for anger.

It'll be interesting to see how well the song which is freely available on ITunes does now. The artist must be delighted, they would already have been paid by Sony, and now have loads of publicity.
I'd also expect a massive backlash - bound to be loads of Islamaphobic levels now. This decision probably is on a similar level with councils removing all mentions of Christmas and wishing everyone a happy winterfest. A little bit too PC... |

Ouch recalled worldwide - what a major mess up for Sony - their one chance of a really great game this year and a perfect launch is screwed - they should have just patched it. It should never have been recalled for religious reasons.

In fact, I find many of the pronouncements of both Islam and Christianity deeply offensive, but have no desire whatsoever for either the Koran or Bible to be banned. I believe it is you who needs to grow up. Sony's caving in to this ridiculous compaint serves only to give fuel to the racist idiots who will assume all muslims are over-sensitive morons. In all fairness those probably aren't exactly phrases that fit with the ethic of the game, so irrespective of whether you ascribe any value to the religious aspect of the decision its protecting anyone who speaks Arabic from a bit of a downer regardless.
