QuakeCon 2008 registration soon
We wonder if Rage will be playable.
The organisers of QuakeCon have said that registration for this year's bonanza will begin on 30th April.
It takes place from 31st July to 3rd August in Dallas, Texas, at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. Admission is free, and those attending will be given special rates at the hotel.
QuakeCon is the biggest bring your own computer LAN party in the US, and also plays host to around 60 companies showing off their wares.
Last year Tom flew out (without his computer) to listen to John Carmack talk about new project Rage, as well as see Enemy Territory: Quake Wars in action and watch everyone become infected with Left 4 Dead fever.
You can digest our enormous amount of QuakeCon 2007 coverage from a list of bite-sized pieces.
QuakeCon 2008 will have plenty of tournaments, parties, contests and entertainments to offer as well, with more concrete details to follow.

Quake 4 was terrible, long live Quake 3 and Quake Live. Im holding on to those.
Rage just looks like every other ID game with regards to style. About time they produced something super fresh.
QuakeCon will be cool. Shame all the cool events happen state side!
