Quake Wars in late summer News

Activision's recent financial report suggests Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will be with us by the end of summer.

In its outlook for the year ahead, the money paper states the game is due in the second quarter of fiscal 2008, which narrows it down to July, August, or September. This also falls in line with retail predictions saying late August.

Activision, however, is standing firm on id Software's guidelines that "it's finished when it's done".

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The desktop version is expected to be first out, and will see you compete in massive online battles as either Strogg or Human factions - not unlike the Battlefield series.

Nope, this year. It's called Fiscal 2008 because it ends in 2008 (that's when all the tax and profits have to be evaluated).

Fiscal 2008 is next year, isn't it?
