sounds interesting. I might give this a whirl. Demo first though, as always.

Have they actually bothered fixing the bug that rendered companions entirely useless this time around?

That really infuriated me about the original. How that slipped through Q&A is anyone's guess.

Gremmi: That bug was only in the PSP version, though as the article suggests these appear to be ports of that version, so hopefully it's been fixed.

Anyone wondering whether this game is really worth 1200MP (not a small amount in real money) - YES YES, A HUNDRED TIMES YES.

This game swallowed so much of my summer on DS, and I only played through it once with a single character. Unfortunately there's no game timer but I fully expect I spent over 40 hours playing it, and I didn't train mounts or make weapons much or that other side stuff, just the quests.

Won't be getting it again simply because it's such a long game, very enjoyable but I've played it all already - online play will no doubt be great fun though, quick and turn-based so shouldn't be any lag issues.

Personally speaking, I'd rather have a full game at 1200 than one at 800 with lots of PDLC tit-bits over time (which add up to 1200-1500 pts in total). Especially if you're getting hours of entertainment out of it.

It's a very good game - very addictive. And I'd say worth every one of those 1200pts if it's the full game.

Note: On XBLA, 1200Points is $15 or £8-9 quid. Hardly "whopping" when the DS/PSP price is double that. Or did I miss something. Oh and it's RRP on Wii is a "whopping" £39.99 it seems.

Little secret about Puzzle Quest -- although it's extraordinarily addictive, it's not actually all that much fun. I forced myself to abandon the DS version when I realised I was playing it for hours a night in a state of slack-jawed numbness, rather than actually being engaged or stimulated.

By the way, has anyone seen any Warlords or their Challenges in the game?

yes! I hope it's true. The price doesn't bother me one bit, given that the same game would cost you easily double that on the PSP/DS. Bring it!

truly a very fun game on the DS: it takes some thought to win -- its not a mindless "falling gems" game.
