Puzzle Quest: Galactrix heading to PSN
D3P confirms Flash demo website hint.
D3Publisher has confirmed to Eurogamer that Puzzle Quest: Galactrix will be released on PlayStation 3 as well as Xbox Live Arcade, PC and DS.
The website hosting the PC-based Flash demo version released earlier this week carries the PS3 logo, but up to now the publisher, and developer Infinite Interactive, have only referred to the other formats.
"Puzzle Quest Galactrix will be available on PSN and Xbox Live in additional to PC and DS," a spokesperson told Eurogamer when we asked about the discrepancy.
Galactrix - the sequel to the excellent Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords - is a turn-based match-3 puzzler using a hexagonal grid, where players try to explode mines and collect gems to fire off weapons at their opponent.
These face-offs form part of a broader RPG-style saga, complete with a levelling system, side quests, tons of text boxes full of swashbuckling space pirate dialogue and a dinky spaceship to guide between locations on the map screen.
Puzzle Quest Galactrix is currently due for release in March.

Loved the first one but I'm not sure I'd want to play it tethered. It was ideal to dip into occasionally.

So yeah, I'm hella stoked.

Still wondering wether to get it on XBLA or DS. I find the DS screens to look kind of cramped, but mobility is a big plus.
Brilliant move of them to offer a flash demo by the way.
