I got this on the DS. Quite enjoyed it, but couldn't be doing with the cheating computer who could see the blocks off the top of the screen.

Bastards.

Might buy this on Live again just to play it on my telly. I hate the DS.

Oh Noes!

Now I'll have to play it. Again!

@ Eurogamer "There are four new hero professions in the shape of bard, rogue, ranger and warlock, for example"

For Example? But didn't you just list all four?

@viper_h: I bought the DS version too. Ended up flogging it as the cheating was too blatant. I didn't feel it was a game of skill any more and it quickly became a game of "are you high enough level to be here yet?". I don't think the 360 version is any different but they did make changes to the PSP version's cheating.

Shit. I want to play this, Puzzle Quest is crack on a cart / disk / hard drive. But I only have (actually had) the DS game and I don't want to buy it a second time on Live, but maybe would even do so if I hadn't have to play through the whole game again then.

The original Puzzle Quest has dropped from 1200 to 800 points, so that may be enough to push more people over the edge into pure addiction.

re: "For Example? But didn't you just list all four? "

The 4 new classes was an example of the "new toys" mentioned in the preceding sentence.

Last I saw on their website, the expansion was exclusive to xbla.

That's extremly expensive considering orginal is 20$ + VAT on Steam (and there was 10$ sale recently)

I bought the DS version and later the X360 one. Now I am going to get the expansion, and later in the year Galactrix. ...I thinks something in my brain needs to get rewired... :D

puzzle quest's AI does not cheat. The AI will play a constantly smart game and if you arent careful with every move, it will exploit the board. If you play a move and that sets up the AI with a big combo, that is your fault. That is not a cheating AI. For example, If you see a big combo for the AI, then deliberately make a bad move and lose 5 points. That will force the AI to play some other move and if you're lucky you will get to play that big move on your turn.

The developer has posted exactly how the AI works and if you google around you'll find that info.
