Pursuit Force returns
On PS2 and PSP.
BigBig's Pursuit Force is making a comeback this summer. After enjoying relative success as a PSP exclusive first time out, the sequel - "Extreme Justice" - will be released on the handheld as well as PS2.
Once again players will drive after crims in Capital City and then leap onto their cars to sort them out, except this time there'll be a much greater range of gangs and vehicles to worry about, and even a rival "heavy-handed" arm of the police called Viper division.
Leaping between tanks, trains and even aeroplanes in addition to the usual cars, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice will also put you up against the Raiders (ambushers) and Syndicate (bank robber) gangs, as you continue to tussle with the Convicts and Warlords. We're also promised "epic boss battles".
Fortunately to regain strength and prolong a mission there's a new Justice Bar (drinking: for heroes), and three new difficulty levels to make things a bit more approachable. You also have some new recruits to offer support: Sarah (air support), Ash (special operations), Peach (heavy assault) and Gage (high speed pursuit, slightly disturbing pornography).
(That's the last time I type things into Google Image Search without thinking.)
Once you've mastered the basics, you can even play against friends in four-player Wi-Fi on PSP, or two-player split-screen on the PS2. And if all this sounds like it might be up your street, why not have a flick through our review of the first one and see what you missed?
More on Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice soon enough.

The game was actiony, fast-pased and fun.. A lot of other games can't claim that...

I believe the US version was made easier for the gaming pussies out there
With regards the news piece, the original Pursuit Force had the Justice Meter too - it's nothing new. Using it at just the right time was the key to topping up your energy bar and thus remaining alive - essential on some of the rock hard "on foot" missions and also for those stages where you had to escape from pursuing criminals. A fully topped-up Justice Meter was also required for those mega-cool mid-air bullet time attacks as you leapt from one car to another
Looking forward to this sequel then, definitely.
