Pure demo heads PSN weekly update

Plus: Warhawk combo pack, Haze DLC.

Sony will stuff more content onto the PS3 Store today, lead by a demo for exciting quad-bike racer Pure.

The PSN Store is yet to be updated, but PS3gen is claiming to have a heads up on content.

There's another sampler for NHL 2K9 - although the game should be as top-notch as always - plus a Destruction add-on pack for Haze, which costs EUR 4.99 (GBP price coming soon).

Those oblivious to the Warhawk experience may also like to pick up the triple combo pack for EUR 11.99 (GBP 4.99). This bundles Warhawk plus expansions Omega Dawn and Broken Mirror together, paving the way for Operation Fallen Star released last week.

There's also a free Media Manager tool for PSP and some Soulcalibur IV wallpapers, videos for SingStar Euro talent search Movement. There's no cost for these.

what? Warhawk AND 2 expansions for £4.99?

    Surely you jest, EuroGamer?
  • DFawkes #4 3 years ago

I thought NHL was already on? And maybe the Haze DLC (might be a different one)?! Or has my store went weird and gave me access to stuff I wasn't supposed to?

Probably new NHL demo, but I'm not liking this releasing stuff similar to last week. Worse than usual, and I usually don't complain.

Great thing about PSN, I don't have to renew my live subscription for a lousy demo:p. So I'll just wait till something MP worthwile crops up again.

Is it not the 2k ice hockey game rather than EA's offering from last week?

Also EG, you might want to check your currency conversion tool...

Has anyone bothered watching the Movement videos? Are they worth seeing?

Still dont know why no Soul Calibur PAL demo yet, it cannot be that hard to localise a beat em up surely ( I have a US account, but was thinking of those who dont....) also they should also do a deal on the Warhawk expansion packs for those who may have bought the first one only ie any two for £7.99 as well as doing all three for £11.99
  • Darren #9 3 years ago

Not too shabby this week then but it annoys me that the US tends to get more content, particularly themes and wallpapers. I got the Ratchet & Clank Quest for Booty theme from the US PS Store a couple of weeks back and it still hasn't appeared on the EU Store last time I checked. Surely they don't require translation to umpteen European languages... do they? :?

And where the hell is 1942... isn't Europe getting this game... it came out TWO months ago on the 360 and for Xbox 360 owners?!?

Not quite. The new combo pack includes all 3 expansions released to, date (including OFS). You need to buy Warhawk seperately, to play them.

So its £4.99 for all three packs? Is this confirmed?

I'm in at that price... seems cheap.
  • jonsaan #12 3 years ago

I agree with Darren. We need more themes!
  • mikeck #13 3 years ago

Yes they do jest, it's all three expansion packs, not the full game - d'oh!

Anybody know whether the PAIN Amusement Park update is gonna be available today on the US Store? I know the Trophy update for PAIN is today.

Pure demo is gonna be fun to try out.
  • Arwin #15 3 years ago

    @Doctor_What: I didn't watch everything. I did rather like the Gush/ I Just song.
  • HiddenAway #16 3 years ago

Media Manager for PSP (if I'm correct) is used for backing up/transferring stuff from the PSP to the PC and vice-versa.

Get with the times though because I had a free version from Japan ages ago :p.

I think it'll be the "lite" version of the full version.
  • monty2k #17 3 years ago

    @ Zebula77:

The pain amusement park has been delayed for a little while, so it won't be out today on the US or EU store:

Gaol: "So its £4.99 for all three packs? Is this confirmed?

In the States, they were selling it on the idea of a three-for-two deal. So, £7.99 is far more likely.
  • septimus #19 3 years ago

Any news on Warhawk getting bots? Sometimes just like to mess around with a game and that is nigh on impossible.

Or I missed it completely and it now has them?
  • Zebula77 #20 3 years ago

Monty: Thanks for the info. Shame tho.
  • Beano #21 3 years ago

    @septimus : You haven't missed the feature :)
Only alternatives are the new traning missions or starting a local game (alone).
  • BiscuitBase #22 3 years ago

Downloadable content for HAZE???? Sign me up right away!

"In the States, they were selling it on the idea of a three-for-two deal. So, £7.99 is far more likely. "

Yeah, and looking at the linked article and Euro price, I'd guess so. Which means this article is full or errors :p

Tempting even at that price though ...
  • MilkYMoO #24 3 years ago

I must try the ps3 and 360 pure demo. The psp media manager is worth a look. Menage, you dont have to be a xbl gold member to download demos off marketplace.
  • SeesThroughAll #25 3 years ago

Media Manager is a badly-coded average .NET piece of junk that doesn't even come in a Mac version.

    Free, at least...
