Psyonix making vehicle sports for PSN
Score goals and crash cars in mid-air.
Psyonix Studio, the developer porting Monster Madness to PS3, is working on a PSN game called Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars. Which is quite a mouthful.
Due out this autumn, SARPBC is an automotive sports game based around trying to score goals, much like the Top Gear team playing car football.
Only, here there are boosters to zip over and ridiculous acrobatics, and with everything ruled by a physics engine, the outcome should be nothing less than unpredictable.
There are all sorts of team leagues and statistics to keep track of and, while the emphasis is on multiplayer, there are also single-player bouts and mini-games for the lonely type.
Pop over to our Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars gallery to find out more.

God I've been addicted to this thing, got it only 1-2 months ago. And the physics are damn impressive at times too.
Can't wait for the Amusement Park extension.
If the physics are really good, this game could be a lot of fun.

One would read that as a typo, I think. Weren't they renamed to Liverpool Studio or something?

Yup, they're now Studio Liverpool, the WipEout team.
I miss when F1 games were good. Their games were light years ahead of everything.
