PSP Resi designed "with PSPgo in mind"

But don't expect any details for a while.

Capcom has said that the new PSP-exclusive Resident Evil announced at E3 is "some ways off", and is being designed "with the PSPgo in mind".

"Whadda we got for you in terms of info? At this point, very little," US bloke Chris Kramer wrote on the Capcom blog.

"I can tell you that Capcom is working very closely with Sony on this title, as it's something that both companies have wanted on the PSP for quite some time," wrote Kramer.

"I've managed to sneak a look at a very early game design document for this title and all I am allowed to say is: Wow. Totally different for a Resident Evil game. More in the future, promise!"

Shoulder Buttons only then is it so we can play with out flipping up.

Bring it on, just don't take five years about it.

And bigger fonts, so you can still read the text.

Oh, great, so normal PSP owners can't play the first Resident Evil on the console? I'll live without it.

And I'm extremely suspicious of the words "totally different for a Resident Evil game". Every non-normal Resident Evil game has been awful. 1,2,3, C:V, 4 and (acceptably) 5, and ports/updates thereof, are the good ones.

It's some way off? Er they do know about PSP 2 right?

    @penhalion

    What PSP2?

Shoulder Buttons only then is it so we can play with out flipping up.

Makes sense. Also, it could use Bluetooth, but I can't imagine this being intrinsic to core gameplay. Perhaps something along the lines of what they did with WiFi in MGSPO.

Resident Evil Racing Grand Prix confirmed.

    Super Resi-o Kart.
    Dynasty Warriors: Resi.
    Pro Evolution Evil
Dr Marcus (Dr Mario, but with the T-Virus)
    Resident Fantasy VII
    ResiBigPlanet

I'm sure the part "with the PSPgo in mind" just means they're aware of it and keeping mindful of it. I can't see them ignoring PSP users. But totally different? Hope it's not just a standard FPS or something similar.

Hmm, bit worried about the "PSPgo in mind" statement, but we don't know what that actually means yet!

FFS didn't the reboot and on rails crap give a different (and dull I might add) RE already? GIVE ME SURVIVAL HORROR LIKE YOU USED TO CAPCOM!!!!!!

Oh god please not on the rails. I never even considered that, but it can't be. That's not different. In fact, it can't be an FPS either since one of the PS2 games was pretty much a FPS. Could be an RPG of some kind though, a bit like Koudelka on PSone.

Sure they will - this is marketing hype :)

smaller, so you can download it.

I'd be happy if they went back to the old style of Resi. I'm already sick of Gears of Evil/Resident of War :D It worked for RE4 but RE5 was a bag of dogshit and just wasn't Resi at all.

No chance of strafing while aiming / shooting, then!

being designed "with the PSPgo in mind".

Meaning it won't be released on UMD so no one can pirate it.
