PSP Minis to be playable on PS3?
Before Christmas, sources reckon.
Sony's independently-developed PSP Minis may soon be playable on PS3.
Both Joystiq and Pocket Gamer have heard from a collection of separate sources that this will happen before Christmas. What's more, the transition to PS3 will supposedly bring a resolution bump for the bite-sized games.
PSP Minis - a platform for small, independently developed downloadable games - is Sony's attempt at recreating App Store fever. However, the SDK is more expensive (around €1200) and games are limited to 100MB size and cannot have wireless multiplayer nor DLC.
"We do not comment on rumour or speculation," a Sony representative told Eurogamer.

If PSP Mini's on PS3 will come soon (which I doubt) the resolution will simply be upscaled and not in native 720/1080 resolution since the assets in the PSP Minis are lo-res. This will look terrible!
My guess is that the source have been misinformed.

Sony could have done so much more for Amateur developers since the restricted and poorly supported Net Yaroze in 1997 @ $750. The Homebrew scene has got stronger due to the big corps greed.

True but on a much small TV and without today's expectations for visual quality.

Anyway a bigger issue for these Minis is cost. They are too expensive. Especially if we start to compare them with PS3 downloads.
