PS3 Platinum in Europe next month
Uncharted and others for 20 quid.
Sony is to launch a budget range of PS3 games in Europe in a fortnight's time.
The Platinum range will kick off on 1st August at GBP 19.99 / EUR 29.99.
Initial first-party games will be Resistance: Fall of Man, Heavenly Sword, MotorStorm, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Ratchet & Clank 3.
Virtua Tennis 3 from SEGA and Assassin's Creed from Ubisoft will be the first third-party titles, followed by WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 "later in September".
SCEE boss David Reeves said "ten further titles" from third parties would then arrive "between September and the end of November".
"If you're a longstanding PS3 owner with gaps in your collection – or perhaps you've just joined the family – the PS3 Platinum range is your chance to pick up some of the very best games at a wallet-friendly price,” added Reeves in an accompanying statement.
"With great titles spanning a huge breadth of gaming experiences, this August is a great time to be a PS3 owner."

Resistance. I have missed the original and I love to play it but not the for (almost) full price it goes for over here where I live. It is just too old and I rather spend that amount of money on for example MGS4.

I think you may be pleasantly surprised by Resistance. It's actually a lot better than you might think from playing the first couple of levels. It does start off looking very much like Call of Duty with aliens but later on it plays more like a cross between Half Life and Halo (especially the shield regeneration mechanic). There are some really bizarre and original weapons and it doesn't suffer from the things I dislike about the Call of Duty series' single-player campaign, such as endlessly spawning enemies until you break cover, or unconvincing AI. Completing the single-player campaign unlocks a further 6 weapons for your second play through. It's great online too. Anyway, hope you enjoy it!

Thought that was a bit of an odd one, seeing as it's £19.99 on the PSN anyway.

i won't buy MS or Resistance. MS2 looks way more interesting with the different locations and Res 2 just looks better. I'd rather get those.

Glad I've been waiting for the PS3 - now I can get MotorStorm, R:FOM, Uncharted and Ratchet for under £80, along with LBP Warhawk.
Come on Sony - do an LBP bundle with DS3s when it launches in October. You know you want to!

That game appeared on the PS2, EG. The PS3 game didn't have a number and was called Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction here in Europe and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction in the US.
