PS3 Alone in the Dark this November News

Atari has told Eurogamer the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark will be out in November.

That means arriving five months later than the Xbox 360, PC, PS2, and Wii versions, of which the former was clearly best.

Best, maybe, but still hampered by irksome controls and technical hiccups, intent on knocking you back each time you felt a fondness for the game arise.

We hope developer Eden has taken the extra time to address these issues for PS3 and dollop some of that extra content on that we heard about back in April.

Until then, re-read our Xbox 360 or even Wii review of Alone in the Dark to get up to speed.

Hmm...do I ditch the 360 version in the hope that the PS3 one will be improved? But that'd mean playing through the "getting to Central Park" bits again, which made me want to hurt myself.

I did find the taxi drive to Central Park fun, specially when doing it for the Achievement (whole ride in cockpit view - challenging!).

Agreed. You can tell he wanted to be positive about it, just to spite those who requested it get a kicking but ultimately he was always going to explode with his delicious pound of hatred.

Still hate the theme music mind (though I understand why it's changed).

Didnt even realise it was not out on ps3, how or why did that happen? I was looking at it in tesco today, tempted, but obviously not enough cause i walked out without it, ebay maybe?

I really wanted to love it. but everything was so unfinished. the story, the controls, the pointless episode skip rubbish.....it was occasionally interesting though..

Just started playing on the 360 fuck it's hard to control and too dark, even turned up full.
The driving section is a whole load of fun!

PC version sucked - don't know why they're evening bothering with the PS3 version.

Their tech demos showed so much promise...seems like they got together with funcom though when it came to actually making it fun to play (because it plays like sh1t).
