PS3 Alone in Dark not delayed

Atari offers explanation.

Atari has told Eurogamer this afternoon that the PS3 version of Alone in the Dark hasn't been delayed after all, but will launch simultaneously with the PC and 360 games.

The PS3 version didn't appear on the publisher's most recent release schedule and a spokesperson told us in response to a follow-up query that "[the 360 and PC versions] are the first to be released".

But now Atari has explained it's all been a misunderstanding - and AitD PS3 should have been listed on the schedule all along.

Alone in the Dark is yet to be given a solid launch date, and currently swims in the crocodile infested waters of "Coming Soon Financial Year 2007/08", which could mean any time between now and next March.

We'll let you know when it re-emerges. Chomp.

    Not delayed = runs worse and looks worse than 360 version. So nothing to cheer about PS3 fans.

    Had it been delayed there could have been hope that it would perform as well as the 360 version.


    /btw - i'm not really a 'fanboy' or 'xbot' (my 360 has RROD and i'm pissed off with it right now) I just LOVE to hate Sony that's all.

    Who cares if the PS3lol version is delayed or not? Either way it's gonna suck. All multi-plat games on PS3lol suck. That's why the PS3 is lol.

    Good work there, you're apparently thinking, it's even vaguely relevant and you've made a number of posts without relying on the acronym "lol". I think we've made some real progress today, obviously no real progress on word recognition (again it's Sneetch not snitch, but those two words are a bit similar so it might be a bit tricky for someone with your primitive intellect so don't try too hard).

    I do not and do not intend in the forseeable future to own a ps3, so don't start.

    Could the xbots pelase get a life?

    AitD hasn't been delayed for PS3 it turns out. So all the xbots backpedal and now say it'll just be worse on PS3.

    Kryon my advice is to save up, get a PS3 and spare everyone the sad ramblings. They shout out 'insecurity' more than anything else, which I'm sure is not your intent.

    I can sympathize with someone who wants both consoles but can't afford to have them but this whole fanboy 'pull wool over own eyes and get head stuck up a console act' is ridiculous.

    Isere, honestly, why would anyone with a 360 want a PS3 at the moment or feel 'insecure' in any way? The PS3 is at best a poor mans 360 (apart from the fact it costs alot more). It's a shame that high price tag doesn't guaranty getting any decent software. I'm guessing you haven't seen both systems running side by side, if you had, you'd know how much of a joke the PS3lol is.
