PS Move Japanese launch line-up
Sports Champions! Time Crisis! Resi 5! Etc!
Sony has announced the Japanese PlayStation Move launch line-up.
Move is released in Japan on 21st October (15th September in Europe) and will be escorted to market by six games and a patch for Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition.
According to the announcement on Sony's Japanese site (translated by Andriasang), the launch games are EyePet, Sports Champions, Beat Sketch (formerly Sing and Draw), High Velocity Bowling, Kung Fu Rider and Big 3 Gun Shooting (a compilation of Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Time Crisis 4 and Dead Storm Pirates).
A free patch for Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition will be released to existing owners in mid-September, presumably to coincide with US and European Move releases, so Japanese gamers will also be able to play that.
In November Sony Japan plans to release a Move version of echochrome, plus The Fight (called Nikudan in Japan) and Move Party, while TV Super Star follows in December and Ape Escape is due out at some point before the end of the year.
2011 Move titles already confirmed for Japan include Harry Po-- I mean Sorcery, Tower, The Shoot and Heroes on the Move, which features characters from the likes of Jak & Daxter and other Sony mainstays.
Killzone 3 will also launch with Move support, while Hustle Kings and Heavy Rain will receive support through patches, which so far lack release dates.
As in Europe, Sony Japan is flogging PlayStation Move in a variety of bundles and configurations, allowing consumers to pick up the wand itself, the Navigation Controller (don't call it a nunchuk!) and PlayStation Eye separately or together.
Launch bundles will include a Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition one that comes with Move and PS Eye, and a Big 3 Gun Shooting pack that includes the game, Move and the bit of plastic that makes it look like a gun (don't call it a Zapper!).
Sony is also doing a disc featuring demos of some of the launch titles, which will be provided free with Move itself, the Move Starter Pack, and both of the above bundles.
We've reached out to Sony to find out about European launch plans.

I'm REALLY dissapointed in the amount of titles released with the actual device..i understand Sony want MOVE titles to be staggered..but the best ones aren't out on launch day! TV superstars looks brilliant and completely uses the controller...but isn't out till December etc...
Sports Champions though brilliant..only has 6 games..
Fingers crossed for more titles for Europe.

I'm actually more excited about the Move than I have been for anything gaming-wise for years. That's either a very sad reflection on the industry, or a sad reflection on how jaded I've become!

Here's what I collected so far that Europe should be getting in terms of Move support, which is quite a bit more impressive:

This is based on another of the tech-demoes, and actually looks pretty good. I particularly like that you can play it in 3D, as this was one game where I thought 3D would be a big help.

What I've seen from the footage indicates that the game has developed to 1-to-1 motion tracking, from the gesture recognition it seemed to be doing earlier.

I have to disagree there. It seems to me MS have gone straight for the casual Nintendo market but they expect them to buy a 360 and Kinect for £300 ish or a Wii for £150, I don't think so. Even for those with a 360 the proposition of paying £130 for Kinect is not a favourable one.
The Move will work out fairly pricey if you get multiple controllers but for most I imagine one set will suffice, and with the ability to patch existing games it seems a lot more attractive than the tat the Kinect is getting at launch.

Still hoping that Sony has some awesomeness hidden up their sleeves.

I just don't see people choosing it over a Wii.

LBP2 is a game i'm rearlly looking forward to trying it with, although not for creating with it for 2 reason, MM have said that at launch the game will only support gameplay, and not create mode with a patch after release and secondly i don't think i'll be able to draw with it as well as a dualshock, mind you i could never write on a blackboard with chalk.
I'd love to try R.U.S.E as well, simply as it coudl pave the way for RTS' on consoles (controller set up is still an issue despite some good progression).
In terms of the EU/UK starter pack i'm pretty sure that aside from the camera + Move + demos, we also get full versions of Echochrome 2, Beat the sketer & tumble

And if it's possible to take a third person game and just patch it for Move, then it can be done for a certain...UNlisted....game.
And a few others!

However, they made a low barrier of entry, at least. I already have a PS Eye, and with just one Move controller I can play a lot of these games already (including Heavy Rain, Singstar +Dance, Time Crisis, Velocity Bowl, Hustle Kings, EyePet, Start the Party, etc). and using my existing dualshock controller as navigation controller I can already play almost everything out there. If you don't have the PS Eye yet, the starter pack is still only 65 euro here.
Of course it will be nice to have a second Move controller for multiplayer games (Time Crisis, Sports Champions) or for instance for the few games that support two Moves at once (like The Shoot, Sports Champions). But at least you have a chance to test the Move at home for a while first to find out if you like it enough to want a second one for multiplayer, and the same for the navigation controller - at least you can try the dualshock as a navigation controller stand in and find out whether or not you see yourself, say, playing a shooter with the Move enough to feel that a navigation controller is worth it (or even necessary, who knows the dual shock is good enough).
So for me, Move starts out at 45 euros, and I already have and/or will buy plenty of games that will support the Move controller (I already have Eye Pet, Hustle Kings, Velocity Bowling, SingStar, and was already planning to get Heavy Rain, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Killzone 3, for instance). So the cost of entry is very low in that respect.
I'm sure I'll want to get at least a second Move controller though. But hey, I've spent more on these stupid guitar controllers (and drumkit) that only work in a handful of games, and look at the list above - already over 40 titles that support the Move!
Anyway, if they want to compete with the Wii in all areas that it is currently active in including the kids range, then they'll need a Move bundle at 299 ASAP - 399 is what the current bundle was announced for I think? That would be too much. But 299 with Move controllers could do the trick.

If I enjoy them, then it's almost a dead cert that I'll be getting KZ3.

The Move bundle is 65 euro, and the Move version of EyePet currently stands at 45 euro ... That's 110 vs 80 euros in total, so almost 30 euro saved.

More importantly, my point was that the Move bundle gives you the demo disc, whereas the EyePet bundle gives you the EyePet game. If you wanted the EyePet game, then my suggestion gave you a pretty good deal. (If you don't want the EyePet game, then who knows you can sell it)
