My thoughts exactly. I've never heard of it, but with nothing else to go it looks stunning, especially the scene looking down on the crowded street.

Could all be pre-build mock up stuff of course.

THis, I think; http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/809/80925...

The latest issue of Game Informer reveals the latest game from Radical Entertainment, developer of The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Titled Prototype, the new franchise is a conceptual sequel to Hulk that is aiming for unparalleled freedom in the open-world genre.

Players will take control of anti-hero Alex Mercer, who wakes up in a mysterious laboratory as an experiment with no memory of his past. The world of Prototype is engulfed in a three-way conflict between the military, a mutated viral epidemic, and Mercer -- who has become a weapon in his own right. The whole game is built around the idea of "weaponizing" yourself. Mercer can absorb his enemies, taking on their memories, appearance, and abilities. Consume a helicopter pilot, and you'll learn how to fly a helicopter.

"We have the freedom with this property to do what we want and have the character be as bad as we want him to be," lead game designer Eric Holmes tell Game Informer. "It's good to have a setup where you can do very bad things, and make them fantastic, but have them justified within the setting. We asked ourselves: 'What do people want to do in a game?' We're creating a character that does what players want to do, and creating a structure and a framework around that which works."

Based on the demo it saw, Game Informer guesses Prototype is set in New York. Radical says the mutations that are attacking the populace are homegrown -- this isn't an alien invasion story.

"This is reality plus one fantastic element," says executive producer Tim Bennison. "That fantastic element is your shape-shifting powers, and how they are somehow linked to this epidemic.

"These abilities give you tremendous player choice. The 'deceive or destroy' idea is key to our game. You can annihilate your enemies by going straight in, or you can assume the perfect disguise, and exploit the infrastructure. Every setup in the game will allow you to go either way."

Look for Prototype on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next year.

Looks pretty good, but why do so many next-gen games opt to use shaders to get that horrible 'bleached out' look (Unreal Engine 3 is the biggest culprit).

The last one looks target art.

I really enjoyed Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, so I'm looking forward to this. Good game designers over there.

Radical never made a Spider-Man game, did they?!

Anyway, as nice as this one looks, I've not particularly liked their last few games, so this will definitely be a wait for the demo.

Some nice shots. I hope nobody from the government sees these images though. It'll just add ammo to the suggestion that hoodies are worn by violent types...

If this isn't totally trounced in the mechanics, I hoping this is going to be 2009s guilty pleasure. Anyone remember Fighting Force on the PC & PS1? That was sweet.
