I can tell you the PC version since someone asked.. I tried the 360. It's great. The PS3 i fuound out from a friend that he cant install it and i found out from the official website myself a workaround for him which was mentioning its a general issue of the game on the PS3 not being able to install it till patched or the given solutions...

The PC version is the one im playing currently for personal reason instead of the console one.Bad thing is that the game gives you only a couple of options in the graphical settings... bad bad choice in this kind of game. You can only change resolution, shadow detail lvl and whatever else and thats it. the FPS is fully random goes up and down for NO obvious reasons like crazy. I use my lovely big samsung HDTV which the game was giving bluescreen at start and due to the fact the game just came out there is no solution online. Which was too cimple to fix though since i was forced to start trying myself lol. ( Make a shortcut of the EXE file of the game on ur desktop, edit its properties and select under the compatibility tab to Run in 640x480 screen resolution. That way u can fix it manually once u enter the game finally. now i dont know why the F@$# I still dont get even 1360x768... tards )

The game itself is amusing. We all know EG is not only strict 97% of the time when they rate software. But still the game has issues. The game is worth its money if you are wondering about it. Best option is for the 360 atm, then on a PS3 if you can install it i suppose and then PC ( with which im stuck :S ) . If your PC isnt more than GOOD the least when it comes to the main hardware ( you should know what im talking about ), then expect serious FPS swings. Personally im bugged from other than that also from not being able to adjust the settings and max everything out manually to know for sure its what i see.

I would say that Mr bramwell here has his moments, while not the same level as ellie perhaps. Although his work over christmas a while back where he quoted him self in very flattering tones (about AC6 plane skins I think) was perhaps my fave EG moment

On the game itself my pre-order is winging its way to me and I think the moment I elbow drop a tank will make the game for me, or throw a car at helicopter after i just parkored over it one of those. Its sound fun in a leave the brain at the door sense.

I understand the whole 'EG 7s' thing, I played Dead Space and Ass Creed, and thought they were both pretty sweet?

In all fairness, I'm looking for something to play alongside Fallout 3 currently, so this or Red Faction could be good as a brainless/storyless bit of smashing fun.

But the best thing about EG (usually) is the honest and reliable opinions from the gamers on the forum! This hasn't been the case in this comments thread today :(

I think i got the first signs this wasn't going to be great when i saw a gametrailers interview where the lead developer just went on and on for 5mins about how "utterly cool" the body slide move was and you would want to pick up the game just for that.

He seemed oblivious to the fact its already been in DMC4 and is nothing new.

I was hoping for a really positive review for this - but alas, I'm not sure that EG gave it one. I think I'll pass and stick with Infamous (which is a great game, I'm really enjoying it).

Talking of draw distance - what about that Uncharted footage...!

After spending nearly 20 hours together with inFamous it's physically strenuous to change to Prototype. While Sucker Punch's game offered a sharp setup, awesome story, great presentation and most importantly fantastic controls - Radical's slow competitor is instead a mushy mish-mash of rotten ingredients. Prototype is ugly, stiff, boring and oftentimes irritating. The controls are lacking, the enemies are unimaginative and the graphics are extremely mediocre. Compared to Crackdown and the above-mentioned inFamous, this game is a joke.

CountFapula : Yeah the score should have been much lower.

Also gamereactor gave it 5/10 and 4/10.

Countmuppet, theres no point complaining about Prototype getting the same score as Infamous and blaming EG... This is what happens when you are a total muppet saying how Prototype is going to score much more and is better than Infamous and PS3 is crap..etc etc. This is before you have even played the game... so throwing your toys out the pram is alittle silly really.

If you had just thought for a minute and not been a fanboy, then perhaps people might take some of your points more seriously, until then, well no.

My problem with the game from just hte videos is it does look OTT on the gore, and as someone else said, I dont like the idea of just killing everything in ones path to reach a goal, it does seem like an easy design decision rather than a good game mechanic... hopefully a demo will appear?

Well they do say what goes around comes around, and they have been giving people lots of unnecessary grief for quite a while on the site.

Prototype is scoring good so far on MetaCritic, mainly for the destruction aspects. Be interesting to see how it goes from there.

ive completed infamous and today started prototype and have to say that the graphics for ptype are pritty poor and gameplay seems abit boring very hack&slash. i say buy infamous.

Considering the 'discussion' that preceded this the Metacritic average for the 360 version of Prototype is the one that should be used.

82 already and it will only get lower as more reviews come in. inFamous held at 85, the Games TM review is one of the only outstanding ones left for inFamous, the average is unlikely to fall.

Nope. There's two of us, at the very least. Couldn't care less if I tried. Same goes for Red Fraction. Maybe Just Cause 2 will be the one that gets me interested in sandbox-games again, but that's a long shot.

Count mc bell end, i dont see how you can compare the infamous meta critic score to prototype, seeing that infamous has about 30 plus reviews and prototype has about 10. Go figure

Anyway - Ive been playing Proto ALL day and think its pretty top. Sure i had noticed the draw distance which is a lot better in Infamous, but on a whole Proto seems a much slicker game. More fluid - more carnage and just generally more fun. But thats just my opinion having payed on both. I will finish infamous, when ive stopped playing Proto. haha. But then I may stop playing that for a while after i pick up Grand Slam Tennis and wii motion plus tomoz. Huurah

I don't think it will be long before Eurogamer tire of banter from a select few here and ban them all out...anyway...

Prototype, so it came into work today and, well I couldn't resist, it had to be played!
As I thought and stated in a previous video preview, certain elements of the game were not touched up for release, however these are elements that do not effect the gameplay directly such as the general graphics, messy, yet they compliment the enviroment well in this respect, it's not long before you go destroying it anyways.

Some lazy clipping is present and the hand to hand combats hit boxes are all over the place real messy, but you will 9/10 out 10 find alternate more interesting way to dispatch your foes anyhow.

Whilst none of the ese lazy issues are excusable they do not prevent it from being a fun, crazy OTT experience. The Parkour element looks and feels fantastic, the character upgrading is addictive, and although flawed in some places, the combat is still very fun.

I wont pass final judgement on the score as I've only played a couple of hours into the game, but from what I have played so far I am whilst not impressed with the game for it's technical side, am in love with what it is NOT trying to be, and it is a definite purchase for me.

Would be awesome, Ban them all I say! Clean up this mess! Freedom of speech is overrated anyway!

It better be Prototype which is selling to more than double the install base that Infamous is.

I've been playing Prototype today and I'm not too impressed with it. It's clearly a lot like inFamous, but beyond me why TB scored them both a 7, when inFamous is the better game of the two. Activision have borrowed heavily from their Spider-man series in terms of the city layout, graphics and general feel of the title.

Avoid and buy Red Faction.

The usual console nerds were in top form today, I see, outdoing themselves even in a multiplatform thread. Amazing how some people swallow the propaganda of the platform holders hook, line and sinker.

Sorry for the late response. No i dont have a PS3 anymore and i havent played Infamous. My friend next door has one for collection purposes and Blue Ray movies. He also has a few games like Killzone 2 and MGS4. He didnt buy Infamous because he thouth Prototype would be the better game. I talked to him this morning and he might buy it now. He prefer to buy 360 games, but he has bought a few PS3 exclusives.

I like how someone said "the reviews can only get lower" and then Giant Bomb came out with a 4/5.

Is CountFapula for real?! -- first of all he's adamant that Prototype's average will destroy that of inFamous, then it's a case of Sucker Punch bribing publications to get their average score up, then he decides that reviews don't matter and the sales will speak for themselves - the sales of the PS360/PC release vs. that of a PS3 exclusive, that is.

I struggle to see how anyone could really take this stance for real. Surely he's just taking the piss??!

davisorle - For some reason the developers limited the screen resolutions for people with graphics cards with less than 512 MB to 1280x800 or less. If you have more than 512 MB then you cannot select a resolution any lower than 1024x768. Seems a bit daft really.

Sales has little to do with the quality of the game. Even so i believe Infamous will sell better than the PS3 version of Prototype.
