NG2 is great. I can understand how some people are getting frustrated with the difficulty, but i loved it. Havent beaten it on the highest difficulty yet. Im half way through. Too many games got in the way. I will when the time is right. Ninja Warrior (normal) was a breeze though.

I played the demo of NG and was highly disappointed. I've heard NG2 was supposed to be quite good though, isn't it?

Speaking of Demo's, I wasn't overly impressed with the demo for Infamous. I liked the idea free climbing but the whole shoot out sections felt, difficult. It was hard to tell were you were being shot from and most of the time the screen went grey before I realised who it was. The idea is there, but needs to be perfected IMO.

This is a Prototype thread though and despite the bad write up, I could pick this up on the cheap one day for a good button masher. Twatting people in the face sounds more like my cup of tea. However, there are far better games coming out on the PS3 for me to look forward to when I finish my current collection.

For anyone stupid enough not to have Farti on ignore and still try to converse with him, here's some tips.

Every game ever made on the 360 is better then every game ever on the PS3.

If you call him an insulting name he will mock you for being so childish and then turn around and call you a c*nt.

If you make any slight mistake in your text he will pick up on it and call you a brain-dead moron (obviously misspelling brain-dead and moron as he does).

He does not understand the meaning of irony or hypocrisy.

Basically he's a braindead, hypocritical, childish, moronic, c*nt.

The empirical evidence I was referring to was not a personal comparison of the two games, as that would simply be my opinion. Metacritic reviews however, are empirical evidence of the opinions that the gaming press have on the two games, so yes, the phrase was used in the correct context.

I'm not in the habit of pulling impressive sounding words from my arse without understanding them, and I'm not claiming to be a scholar or linguist but I take pride in the Queens English and try to use it as more than just a simple tool to bludgeon a point across. Sue me for not being ashamed of my native tongue.

Also, while the true average score will take a while to settle, DaemonB made a retard comment today, so a retort was in order, today.

But Farty, you do see that when this review's score is added to that Metacritic average then it will drop, don't you? Metacritic is pretty good, but when its data is demonstrably out of date (such as in this case) it's not really worth using.

I think he has gotten that point by now. Infamous had a metacritic of 93+ the first couple of days. This proves that there is a certain connection with exclusive reviews and high ratings btw.

I expressed no opinion on the quality of Prototype or Infamous here, but feel free to jump into a conversation part way through with no grounding on the subject.

I imagine Farticus' pallid features, sweat gathering on his glistening, slimy brow, bowed over his keyboard, as his hands stroke away the vast globules of fat rolling over his desk to get to the keys, eyes balked out like jellied eggs as the rage consumes his blackened, twisted heart. He tucks away his xbox in the fast swathes of blubber that makes up something that looks like an arse, but more like two moons of cheese squished together, occasionally taking it out to lick slowly with the fetid surface of his boil-laced tongue. His mother has long since abandoned his bedroom, laced as it is with the slime of his acrid expulsions and layered with a grim, brown fluid from the atmosphere created by his armpits, which have long since gained their own ecosystem of crawling white lice and the occasional trilobite.

Sometimes something written on the internet pisses him off, and the white wheylike fingers again rise to the task, riddled with puss-filled cracks in the skin through years of clutching his Xbox controller tightly to his chest as he sleeps on what was once a chair. The controller now stays stuck under his swollen chin, encrusted with yellow bile and invective.

In my opinion, if Prototype was released before Infamous it would have done better, wise move on the part of Sucker Punch getting inFamous out first.

Didn't care much for inFamous so this is a definate no go. Crackdown is a bit better than inFamous but a bit haphazard in fashion.

Arse. Crackdown was by far the 360 game I most wanted for the PS3, Hoped one of Infamous or this was going to full that gap, but hated the Infamous demo, and this sounds worse.

It's not really childish when insults like "brainddead cunt" are being thrown about. Once again, only 2 "d"'s should be in braindead. I'd be quite shocked to hear a child call someone braindead(spelt correctly) nevermind a "cunt" which really is a terrible word.

In fact since you are banging on about suing today, you could be lible for those insults under the tort of defamation if EG don't remove them. But under the Sim V Stretch test you are most likely only lowering your own standing in the public eye so it probably wouldn't be worth your while suing yourself. Try it if you want but I wouldn't recommend it.

Going to skip it and pick up Red Faction instead.

But the greater shame is it never accounts for the fact that your primary source of health is eating civilians, who you also run over in tanks, and murder by running through them with your shield out or armour on. It's not really collateral damage: you're on a self-serving quest to find out where you came from, and nobody's getting in the way, even if they're terrified and clearly not infected.

Yeah, I'm kind of the same. Apparently you get missions from your sister and some doctor in this game, but I would question why anyone would want to help Alex Mercer since he's obviously a sadistic mass-murdering bastard. I'd rather have a protagonist that I like and/or can relate to, even in a small way.

Saw this coming a mile away, all gameplay footage of this game look dull and very meh. Face it, the only thing that might beat Crackdown is Crackdown 2.

A word of warning don't buy this game it is awe full worst game played in ages.

Buy a 360 then. Its cheap and you get to play both Crackdown and Crackdown 2. Later you also get to play APB from the developers of Crackdown. You will never look back my friend. Crackdown is the best sandbox game to date imo.

Indeed. Same with all trolls. A chunk of the thread is taken up with their posts or people trying to reason with them or counter-flame. Even if everyone else ignores them you still know who the filtered out comments belong to and you know what they're saying but at least you don't have to read the same shite again and again.

Since I put the worst of the various platform fanboys on ignore this site has been a whole lot more enjoyable to read.
