Ah so it's the XBLA's week for getting a good game for a change, is it? The remake looks very nice so I'll check it out later... I just hope the gameplay hasn't dated too badly as I remember the original being amazing (on the Amiga) but sometimes how you remember games being, isn't necessarily the same now. Hopefully they've improved enough things to make the game seem like how you remembered it... if you see what I mean?

Yes, and they have :D

It seems easier because it is, they have added checkpoints and given you more moves so it plays more smoothly.

I may finally be able to finish the bloody thing!

God fucking dammit. Everything is good, except they've utterly ruined the game by making the enemy AI so completely random. They also seem to have moved the first (and only one I knew of) of the extra life potions on level 2. Or maybe my memory's hazy. Either way, going up against 6-life guys when you only have 3 yourself used to be quite possible. Now it's retardedly hard. Does Ubisoft actually understand that the appeal of these games is not the combat?

After spending an entire goddamn hour getting killed by the exact same guy over and over, I've given up. Give me my 800 points back, this remake has had its balance utterly mangled.

No they havent.. the extra life potions are in the EXACT same place as they were on the amiga version.

My guess is you're remembering the console versions?

>Now it's retardedly hard.

It always was. You just need to watch their movements and press block (and not just button bash).

>Does Ubisoft actually understand that the appeal of these games is not the combat?

The appeal was that it WAS hard and challenging - and gives you a feeling of acheivement when you finish it. The combat was ALWAYS hard.

Again me thinks you've played a dumbed down console version.

Well yer shite at games then :-)

Go tell the people on the forums who are moaning about it being a "1 hour long game"
