Four for just over four quid.

F.E.A.R. fans can now pick up the Nightmare Pack for the Xbox 360 version of Monolith and Day 1 Studios' nerve-shredding FPS, providing they're willing to fork over the requisite 500 Microsoft points (GBP 4.25 / EUR 5.82).

The pack offers four new maps. Heliport is described as a haven for Conquer All and CTF game-mode fans with its emphasis on close-quarters combat, while Spill Kill takes you for a trawl through sewers and spill-ways.

Deathmatch and Control fans, meanwhile, are catered to - appropriately enough - in Cafeteria, while an abandoned mental institution provides the backdrop to Asylum, which is equally suitable.

The pack weighs in at 260MB, byte-thrifts, and complements the recent free release of the Control and Conquer All pack, which brought with it a range of enhancements and additions detailed elsewhere on the site.

I got bored of the single player after a while, but the multiplayer is really good.

Loads still play it.

Given how the achievements were MASSIVELY weighted towards MP in this, much to my annoyance, and I'm not bothered by the idea of playing a generic crappy shooter in MP (AGAIN), they can shove these.

I've never tried MP F.E.A.R. but it surprises me (in a pleasant way) that it's still widely played. I would have expected new fear maps to be SP, seeing as how the SP was so very good. I would also have been highly pissed off that more exclusives were being made available to console players and not to PC players, but since I'm not an MP person I don't in the event care.

I really enjoyed the single-player on F.E.A.R. Any new material for it is good news, but I'd really like to see the single-player expansion pack released on the Marketplace.

And Arcadiian, what's all this about Bungie turning off your multiplayer if you don't buy new maps. If that's true, then I think that's monsterous behaviour.

F.E.A.R. is actually a great game, on the Xbox 360 and PC anyways. The Playstation 3 version is total garbage.

To answer the question of the one guy, yes these new parts of the game are only found on the Xbox 360. That means the Xbox 360 version is the best one. It was like that all along, but now even moreso.
