Pre-order EndWar for 360, get beta access

Try out the multiplayer bits and everything.

Ubisoft has confirmed to Eurogamer the first people to pre-order Tom Clancy's EndWar for Xbox 360 will get access to the open beta.

As reported by IGN, Ubi is billing the beta as a "VIP demo". Those taking part will be able to try out the multiplayer element of the game and help out with an online stress test.

The VIP demo will begin in early October. Access tokens are limited and will be dished out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tom Clancy's EndWar is out this autumn on PS3 and Xbox 360.

UPDATE: Ubisoft has now informed us this deal only applies when you pre-order the game at GameStation in the UK.

    No, gimme beta/demo access and maybe you can convince me it's worth a purchase - which it doesn't look to be.

    Though if they do have to do it this way, might as well do it on PS3 too. Yes, I know it's more work, but so is developing on both.

    I played the closed beta of this a few weeks back and its pretty damn awesome

    the voice control system is brilliant, I struggled going back to vanilla RTS control schemes, the same way I struggled going back to vanilla cameras after supreme commander

    if you have friends to play this with (in the 2v2 bracket for example) and you like games like world in conflict you will be all over this

    a lack of any information on the PS3 version, the fact it's an Xbox port and no ps3 beta leaves me skeptical on the state of the playsation version so i'm gonna wait for the review before getting it (if i bother to)

    I so want this game to be good though I have to agree with Xerx3s, show people how brilliant it is and they'll buy it, not the other way around.

    Yeah but the "Buy our game and we will give you a demo that you should have played to know if you wanted to buy our game" tactic is shit. Quite frankly, I'm getting more and more disgusted with the sleazy EA tactics UBI is using.

    If you have to pre-order through Ubi for any reason I wouldn't consider it.

    Played the closed beta. Felt like a tech-demo rther than a beta. The voice tech works brilliantly, but the actual game was quite pants.

    Glad I participated in the beta, mind - otherwise I might have forked out for this...

    looking for the Xbox 360 release list for 2008 makes me very depressed... shit games everywhere, at least for me, only Gears 2 is kinda appealing, and even that better show some innovation or it's gonna get old really fast with it's shitty multiplayer and straightforward gameplay.

    yeah, FARCRY2 put a big smile on my face, it's an amazing game, but isn't it multiplatform??? the rest of that list don't excite me that much for now, but i might be wrong, guess i'll just have to wait and see...

    Apologie, why do you think we'd expect you to say anything positive about the 360's lineup? I'm sure the PS3's lineup has you creaming your pants, though? Ya know, because LBP and Resistance 2 are so much more appealing than anything the 360 has to offer. lol

    And WTF does that have ANYTHING TO DO with this article in the 1st place? Seems you'll take any opportunity to make a negative comment about the 360, whether it's warranted or not.

    At least you're back, though, and the comments section can get its dose of humour again.

    Edit: lol, I just remembered...Apolol's been away for awhile but last we knew of him he had sold his 360. Not that any of us believed he had one in the 1st place. Well, if anyone from a PS3 thread complains of xbots messing it up, you can point them here.

    you dont know what your talking about... i own both the Xbox360 ( 2nd hand bargain, couldn't resist) and the Ps3, i'm even lucky to the poinyt of owning a very high spec Pc (wich i bought recently)... i'm a dedicated Gamer that have the privilege to get the max out of all platforms so don't accuse me of anything ok... and yes, Resistence 2 is a very exciting game, much more then any of thouse.
    LBP, FarCry2, Crysis Warhead, ProjectOrigin, Motorstorm 2 and Gears 2 will be very good too, altough i seem to get bored really fast with Gears, don't know why, maybe because of the reasons i mentioned above... the point here is that right now, none of the Xbox360 titles is particularly exciting, none have the wow factor ya know, and the only one that really got my attention (FarCry2), is multiplatform.

    oh and do you want me to mention a very veryyyy positive thing about the Xbox??? the controller, it's the best, especially for a shooter's lover like me.

    I'd have to go way back in time to find out your 360 history, but I was almost certain you had claimed to have had one and sold it long ago because it just simply sucked so bad. Plus, you've never said anything good about the console or maker of it, which had everyone wondering even more about how you could possibly have owned one (who buys something they hate from the beginning?).

    Either way, your comment had nothing to do with the EndWar beta. I assume it was a comment made simply because there's no mention of a PS3 version.

    I'm glad to see you commenting again, though! ;)

    Anyway, there are way too many good games -- multiplatform and otherwise -- coming out before the end of the year. I don't think you'll be disappointed in either console's exclusives either.
