PopCap's Zuma heads PAL PSN update News

PlayStation 3 PSP News by Robert Purchese

26 June, 2009

PopCap temple puzzler Zuma leads the PAL PSN update this week, and features glitzy 1080p visuals, bonus items, Trophies and remote PSP play. Zuma costs 7 Queenpounds.

Sony has also cut the price of Super Stardust HD for its first anniversary. The recommended dual-stick shooter now costs GBP 1.59.

Final Fantasy VII is still available for PSP owners, and joined by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Free Running. You'll need to shell out 16 pounds for the latter pair.

There's not a lot else of note, although a free Solstice druid costume for LittleBigPlanet is worth grabbing.

Final Fantasy VII was already there. There's been a monster thread about it for ages! It's still good though.

By the way, Shoo-Be-Doo-Be-Doo-Da-Day was originally a Stevie Wonder song, Michael Jackson just covered it.

@DFawkes

FF7 was more about the fact that it was released to other European nations in the update.

Super Stardust HD at £1.59 is an absolute steal. Go get it, people. It's an incredibly addictive game with some lovely visuals and great music. It's one of the best retro remakes I've ever played and is better than Geometry Wars IMO.

Just echoing the Stardust love - if you don't have it, buy it at that price.

I got the Zuma demo off of US PSN a few weeks back, and found it quite addictive. Probably wouldn't buy it, but seemed like a decent title.

@Darren: I thought so. Once my Mana Khemia finishes downloading, I'll take a look at it. Too bad you can't add less than 5€ every time - I'll buy it together with something else, I guess.

SSHD is great, Darren's spot on with recommending that. It definitely holds its own next to Geometry Wars and is an utter bargain at that price. 28m is my score to beat!

28 bloody million?! Christ; mine's about 18 million. Basically I beat my friends' scores and then stopped trying.
