PlayStation Store covered in E3 goodies

Fatal Inertia EX, Warhawk patch, videos.

The European PlayStation Store has finally gotten its digital mitts on Fatal Inertia Ex.

This is the much improved PS3 version of the futuristic racer that costs just GBP 14.99. Not only is it better technically, but it also has more content. Expect our thoughts very soon. It comes in a trial version as well, which has the option to buy if you like what you see.

Warhawk gets a beefy title update this week too. Hero is the first of two new modes, and picks one person to be hero on each team. You become twice as powerful and damage resistant, and get points for crushing baddies and blasting your opposing hero. Teamwork involved, apparently.

The other mode is Collector, which has you picking up cores and returning them to your base like Capture the Flag. You can pass these between you and carry more than one.

Warhawk also gets a quick-join option, mini-map update, rank and award tweaks and lots of other fiddles.

Super Stardust HD gets its own Team update this week as well, which adds split-screen and lots of other multiplayer modes. It's only GBP 4.99, or you can get a demo version for GBP 2.99.

Otherwise there are lots of E3 videos to watch, plus some band interviews done as part of the Movement SingStar thing we have still never watched.

One other thing to note is that Naughty Dog expects Uncharted to get its Trophy patch sometime in Mid-August, according to Joystiq. Could even be sooner.

    More Warhawk? Free?
    /crap French accent
    "You are spoileeng us meesuwer"

Brilliant - kept this under the radar pretty effectively.
    Worth a re-review, methinks.

As for FIEX review: 5/10. Strapline: "Fatally Flawed" There you go, saved you the effort.

    No, it's a mistake.

The 'Team' game pack is £2.99. The full game is still whatever price it was before. You need the full game to play the 'Team' modes.

Fix it, EG! Before someone bitiches heavily...

I don't get it. "you can get a demo version for GBP 2.99."? Of what, the Team bit? I don't undertand that statement at all. You can get a free demo of the original, buy it for 4.99, or expand it for 2.99 more. Isn't that all? Please, if someone else knows please explain.

EDIT: afgavinstan posted as I was typing. I thought it was a mistake but didn't want to go around accusing people of being wrong if I was being dense. Again.

    Quit the trolling...
  • Rash' #7 4 years ago

Yeah that's a error the pack is 2.99 and the full game 4.99. The Motorstorm 2 trailer is immense!!!
  • DFawkes #8 4 years ago

Where's the trolling? I honestly can't see it anywhere, all I see is a complete absense of both trolling and terrorism, regardless of what the government would have us believe. Trolling is posting something in a derogatory manor with the sole aim of encouraging a strong opposing response. Where is this? Apart from arguably in this post.

2.99 for a demo? SO IT BEGINS!
  • menage #10 4 years ago

Mmm, more GAME trailers, less music crap please.
  • Miths #11 4 years ago

Meanwhile not a single word about WipEout HD at E3 (unless I've missed something today?) - it wasn't even included where you think it would have been an obvious candidate, that trailer of upcoming major PSN releases.

Please Eurogamer, can't you get a hold of SCEE and ask why this game seemingly disappeared off the face of the Earth after that round of screenshots and videos a couple of months ago?
I'm dying from anticipation here :).

No, not you. You're arguing with an acceptable point. Do check the first post to see who we're referring to.

Given that I don't really "do" coop in SSHD, is £2.99 worth it for a new soundtrack and ship editor?
  • Mr_Dodger #14 4 years ago

Interestingly on the EU store there are 6 (SIX!) items under the E3 tab, as opposed to 24 on the US store.

    Hmmm.

IDK what are you tlaking about, the article says 2.99 for the DEMO.

"It's only GBP 4.99, or you can get a demo version for GBP 2.99"
You should restrain yourself of thinking that everyone is talking bad things about awesome PS3. Chill... a bit.

    @SeesThroughAll
Cheers. I, again, was being dense. I really have to stop typing ever.

I wasn't going to bother with the SSHD expansion until I heard the magic words Ship & Editor. I love making ships, regardless of how basic the options are. I love Freelancer. I spents hours on Kingdom Hearts fine tuning and colouring my Gummi Ship until it could decimate the Borg :) Plus I suppose a little co-op is okay.

    OMG, double team. Cute.

    How does this:
    "SeesThroughAll
    16-Jul-08 15:51:21 360 fan before E3:

Bloody Wii Fischer-Price interface! Mii are so stupid!
    Singstar is ghey!
    I really don't like JRPGs!

    360 fan after E3:

Avatars are so cool! Better than Miis!
Lips looks great fun! It will be better than Singstar!

/Repeats the word "innovation" to convince himself that there actually was some kind of creativity behind anything.
/Somehow convinces himself that FFXIII is now a 360 exclusive to tell himself that he "won" something. "

    goes with this:

    "SeesThroughAll
    16-Jul-08 15:07:05 Quit the trolling...
    ignore poster "

    huh ?

Sorry for trolling, couldn't help myself. Some people here are getting ridiculous with their MS ass kissing... Thankfully they're not the majority."

I did apologise for the mockery, and made it clear it wasn't intended to everybody. And what's more, that original post wasn''t edited, as everybody can see...

Seriously, if you weren't so famous for trolling in nearly every single PS3 news item, people wouldn't react like this to you ;)

Selective quoting is the troll's trademark indeed ;)

Maybe it is you that get too personal about things that aren't supposed to be *that* personal, and get a blurred vision, or maybe it's my poor elequoency.

Then again, the 1st post was just what it was: a qustion based on something I found odd, a typo for sure.

360 is awesome. 360 is noisy. I like 360s. I have flesh and bones (more of the latter though). I loved the PS2. I'm interrested in a PS3 when it becomes an interresting device for me. I'm buying a Wii. Etc...
See, I'm just a normal, average, boring guy.

Could someone at EG please ask Sony where the hell Wipeout HD is please?
  • Darren #23 4 years ago

YEAH, WHERE THE F*** IS WIPEOUT HD?!?!?

It's typical Sony though to announce something aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaages before it's due for release. It's actually annoying. I'd rather not know about them until they're close to being released, thank you!
  • jeff #24 4 years ago

i can only guess that wipeout hd has ben delayed until the autum, they dont want it to clash with fatal inertia and with no mention of it at E3[especially nothing in the PSN montage]i cant see it arriving for a while.
    hope i'm wrong though.
  • Rash' #25 4 years ago

Darren, Don't you find it interesting that you are interested in content for your PS3 that wasn't even present at the conference???
  • spookyzombie #26 4 years ago

Too many video's and not enough demos.
  • tobsen #27 4 years ago

New SSHD multiplayer modes, just lovely :D
  • Aloominum_man #28 4 years ago

I'll hazard a guess about wipeout hd - it's a flagship title, from a brand perspective at least, and it's visually underperforming, due to a typical overstatement of ps3 capability. In other words, it will be ignored until the problem is fixed, or there's something more significant released that obscures its launch.

  • RustyBullet #30 4 years ago

I have the PS3, PSP, DS, Wii, Dreamcast and XboX360 so i am no troll. But i only realy turn my PS3 on latley to get system updates. I will not even bother wasting my time downloading any of this tripe as all the vids i want to see and the demo i wanted to play is on my 360 and with the new dash comeing and the piss poor sony E3 i wont need to bother with my dust magnet for a while. The out look for the 360 in my eyes is blinding.

    Flame away
