Play Call of Duty 5 at Eurogamer Expo

Yet more games announced for our show.

Eurogamer (i.e. us) has announced a host of new games (i.e. five) that will be playable at next month's Eurogamer Expo.

Topping the bill is Call of Duty: World at War, which isn't even out till November. It's looking good though, as you'll know if you've been checking out the trailer and previews over on the gamepage.

Then there's Tom Clancy's HAWX, the new flight combat game from Ubisoft, and mythological first-person shooter Legendary. Racing fans have a double-decker treat in store with GTI Club+ and RACE Pro both on the show floor.

Not to mention all the games that have already been announced for the Expo including Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, LittleBigPlanet, Mirror's Edge, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Prince of Persia, Resistance 2, Saints Row 2, Tomb Raider: Underworld... Check out the Expo website for more. And remember, there are EVEN MORE still to be announced.

The Eurogamer Expo is taking place at the Old Truman Brewery in London on October 28th and 29th. Tickets cost GBP 5 per day, and the proceeds will go to UK videogames charity GamesAid. The Expo will take place from 11am to 10pm each day, and you've got to be aged 15 or over to get in.

That fiver also gets you entry to the GamesIndustry.biz Career Fair, taking place at the same location and time. So you'll walk away not just with a free Bionic Commando poster but a brand new job! Possibly.

To register for your ticket, visit the Eurogamer Expo website.

I have booked my ticket already, but I can hardly wait to get up there and play some more games.

Will there be a timer on how long you can play, or is it winner stays on?

Whilst I'm looking forward to these games, perhaps at the 2009 Expo we might also have a few tournaments of games that already exist? Entrants could even be decided from a larger number of people via the forums or something.

Looking forward to COD5, or Cod: World At War or whatever it is called - if only to find out if it is pap or not.

edit: Would also secretly love it if Borderlands was one of the unannounced ones.

Do we need to bring our own controllers?

    Hey agparrot

    We'll be providing controllers. :)

We may have slight limitations on how long you can play but there will be a lot of games to try out, so you might not want to stay fixed on one for too long.

There are also going to be tournaments for some games - stay tuned for more details.

Plane tickets to London (return trip): £67
Two day tickets to Expo: £10
Living in London for three days: £300+!!

What the hell? Am I just lousy at looking for cheap hotels?

Thanks for the details rockjaw, I wait with baited breath for more information on tournaments - as long as it is nothing as unimaginitve as Soccer game tournaments!

I am not that secretly excited about all this.

    RE: Hotels: -

It's in the City (i.e. the middleish), so the prices will be expensive. Try looking a little further out - something like this or this.

Please link up the GTI Club+ machines for network play, it will be awesome.

Also any word on what sessions are on at the careers fair? can't seem to find anything on gamesindustry.biz site.

"Please link up the GTI Club+ machines for network play, it will be awesome."

    Exactly what we're doing!

"Also any word on what sessions are on at the careers fair? can't seem to find anything on gamesindustry.biz site."

Should be announced by the end of next week.

Ok, I checked up on St. Christopher's Inn and they have reasonable prices. Thanks for the advice! It would probably cost me around £100 for four days in London, excessive beer drinking not included.

Now, if only they manage to lure Piranha Bytes there with the latest build of Risen..
