PlatinumGames reveal this week
What next from the Bayonetta brain?
PlatinumGames, the creator of Bayonetta and MadWorld, will reveal its next project this week.
The announcement will be made on GameTrailers TV this week, according to host Geoff Keighley. The episode airs late on Thursday night in North America.
What creative director Hideki Kamiya will come up with next at PlatinumGames is unknown. Both MadWorld and Bayonetta were new IP, so the studio may continue conjuring original ideas.
Or perhaps the developer is keen to expand MadWorld to a core audience on PS3 and Xbox 360, following disappointing sales on Wii.
Whatever the project, PlatinumGames' pedigree (formerly Clover Studios of Okami, God Hand and Viewtiful Joe) is without doubt.

MadWorld was pretty sweet though and the rest of their back catalogue was also great. Maybe a sequel to GodHand could be on the cards

Platinum games had nothing to do with the lousy PS3 port. SEGA is the one to blame for that.
Bayonetta is my favourite game this gen so i cant wait for PG next game.

Quite a list there, although without combining multiplatform sales, none of those games have made it past 500k sales worldwide...
Just goes to show that quality does not always equal sales...

Anyhow Bayonetta has put them in the picture, if they advertise their future releases as well as they have with this game then they could certainly be in for another winner.
Bayonetta's charms will be hard to beat mind, it's not easy to appeal to both mainstream/casual (easy automatic) and Hardcode the insane, INSANE Climax mode for those of us who want to take games of this nature to the next level. Most people who play games can play Bayonetta thanks to the balanced difficulties.
