Pizza Delivery Boy coming to Wii News

Wii News by Ellie Gibson

12 November, 2009

Majesco (but of course) has announced plans to release Pizza Delivery Boy for the Wii.

The story goes that three brothers have failed to manage their pizza restaurants properly and the bank manager is threatening to shut them down. You come in like some kind of probably less sweary Gordon Ramsay figure and try to sort it all out.

You must deliver the pizzas as well as make them, avoiding hazards like dogs and oil slicks. The remote acts as both your cooking utensil and steering wheel. As the game progresses you can unlock faster vehicles and take on side missions, such as street racing and cooking competitions.

"Pizza Delivery Boy combines made-to-order pizza preparation with fast and furious driving that delivers on fun," said Majesco exec Gui Karyo. Must have taken him all day to think that one up.

The game is out in winter 2010.

This sounds like Paperboy if you had to spend an hour printing the newspapers before getting on your bike.

I knew from the "posh cheese on toast" sub-headline it would be Ellie writing this article.

What is it with cynical people and pizza? What has pizza ever done to you?

'Posh cheese on toast'! Whatever happened to the humble tomato. Don't forget the tomato!

Exactly! Pizza doesn't make itself you know.

Good pizza is a work of art. Calling it cheese on toast is like calling concorde a "posh paper aeroplane"... sort of.

Yeah except paper aeroplanes can still fly.

Why is it going to take them an entire year to make this game? It sounds like a flash game someone could knock together over a rainy weekend.

"Yeah except paper aeroplanes can still fly."

Errr, and pizza still has cheese on it? Nope, you've lost me.

Unless we are saying pizza can't fly, in which case I agree (it might be able to glide for a while though, if launched by a skilled hand).

Update: Ahhhhhhhhh. Concorde doesn't fly anymore does it. Silly me, point taken.

Make and deliver pizzas with rude looking or suggestive shapes on them??? Official 'Chef Confederation' endorsement??? Sign me up! Shame it's on Wii though, no opportunity for a Calzone DLC...

It's posh cheese on toast because of the tomato. Without tomato it would just be cheese on toast. Duh! ;-)

The Winter 2010 release is to allow time for the inevitable hype to grow around this ground breaking product!

Why not create "Porno Pizza Delivery Boy?" Come on you've all seen these type of movies; you open the Pizza box and "Surprise" I'd like my first delivery to be to the Saturday's.
