Peter Jackson enjoying Mod War 2

Likes games more than films right now.

Megastar movie director Peter Jackson has said he's been playing a lot of Modern Warfare 2 lately - and that in fact, he's currently enjoying playing games more than watching films.

"I am almost through two player co-op, though I haven't quite reached the last level," he told Aintitcoolnews. "It's a great game. I'm enjoying these games more than I am enjoying films at the moment.

"And they are using a lot of the film techniques now, especially the cinematic areas or those little movie things," Jackson continued. "They are starting to really blend them in and you get the feeling that you are watching substantial bits of prerecorded animation which is still great, though, because they are dynamic and done well. They didn’t used to be done very well in the old days, but there are people that actually know what they are doing."

Jackson confirmed he is also involved with game development, and is currently working on tie-ins for the new Hobbit and Tintin movies. He didn't mention that Halo film, though.

I had high expectations for the Lovely Bones, but reading the reviews i believe I will skip it.

But I too am enjoying games far more than movies now. I never watch television either, it's just not engaging enough plus you have seen it all before.

What's his online ID? I'd like to claymore him for all that interminable Hobbit nonsense...

does this guy have 'bad taste' or is he just 'brain dead'?

The Lovely Bones book was really good. I'd like to see the film just to see how it's turned out, but the reviews have certainly been off putting.

I'd watch movies more often if I got trophies for them...

the point of this article is?

To have celebrities validate our choice of hobby. How could I enjoy gaming if I didn't know people like Peter Jackson and Zac Efron thought it was cool?

I wonder if he is even aware of the single player campaign.

    There's a single player campaign?

Enough of your babble Peter, when is the Hobbit coming out?!

Tintin? Oh christ. Either it's as tame, pedestrian and old-fashioned as the books, in which case it fails utterly, or it changes to avoid that and hence totally fails to resemble the source material, in which case it fails critically and with fans. Seems to love a challenge, this man.

Also, I too like games more than films at the moment. Haven't seen a convincing reason to go to the cinema for a good six months. It's not helped by the fact I can often get games cheaper in sales than I can a cinema ticket or two, nowadays.
